It was just Thad and I in the house when a firm but quick knock came at the door. I was downstairs with Brandy and Armpit, and having heard Thad stirring upstairs, I joined him. He opened the door to a beautiful brunette who was about my height, she was wearing a large sweater and leggings and carrying a large purse. My first thought was, she was an ex, something I did not want in my house. She was definitely not American, or fully American, as far as I could tell. There I was, judging people again. Thad smiled and hugged her, and I felt a ball of jealousy build up inside of me.

"Thad!" She exclaimed as she stepped inside of the house. Thad looked at me and smiled as he put his arm around the girl and me. What was going on? What was he not telling me?

"Alma, this is my fiancee Alice, Ice, this is my half-sister Alma." I automatically understood, and had completely forgotten the mention of his sister. She hugged me and repeated my name.

"A-leese!" She giggled as she looked at my stomach, now six months along. "Baby?" She asked as she pointed at me stomach. Thad smiled at Alma and nodded. She skipped off into the house and Thad stepped towards me.

"She doesn't speak much english, so try to make things easier for her." He explained quietly as she set her bag down.

"What does she speak?"

"Bosnian." I remembered after he'd told me that that I learned Bosnian for extra credit in high school, sure, I'd be rusty, but I'd be able to talk to her. I nodded as I stepped into the room with her.

"Zdravo!" Hello! I greeted as she looked up at me.

"Vi govorite bosanski?" You speak Bosnian? She asked with a beautiful smile. I nodded as Thad came into the room. I leaned forward and whispered something to her.

"Thad ne zna, ne govori." Thad doesn't know, don't tell. I uttered as Thad approached us.

"Where do you two want to hang out today?" Thad asked as he put his arm around me.

"Streep club?!" She exclaimed as Thad turned completely serious.

"No, Alma! I already told you it's degrading towards women."

"The greatest for weemen!" She giggled as she clapped and glanced over at me. I was laughing so hard that I almost peed myself. I leaned over and told her what he meant in a language she understood.

"On je rekao da je ponižavajuće za žene." He said it's degrading to women. She nodded as she understood but still disobeyed.

"I haven't even been to the strip club in two years!" Thad exclaimed as he ran off to get a Mojito.

"Želite li da vas naučiti engleski?" Would you like me to teach you English? I offered as Thad was out of earshot.

"Yes, please!" She smiled as I gave her a friendly hug. For the following few days, I taught her english, exchanged secrets in Bosnian, and things were great. She was like the sister I never had, which is why I treated her as such. By the end of the week I'd taught her everything she needed to know. One lovely day I was sitting on the step of the Goathouse, taking in my vitamin D for the day. A random old guy came over to me and began talking to me about children and stuff. Being something that ran in the family, I continued speaking to the stranger, feeling nothing was wrong. But I felt a sense of alarm when he asked me the next question.

"Are you having a son?" He asked, noticing my stomach. I nodded, creeped out by this guy suddenly asking about my baby.

"Who's the father?"

"Thad Castle."

"Oh, Thad Castle! My daughter Michelle actually used to date his friend Alex!" I shuddered as I looked back and saw Alex pointing at this man through the window, Thad standing beside him with a worried look upon his face.
