I left Thad sound asleep in bed around 6am. I snuck out to join Sunny in the car, watching as stablehands wrestled to get my horse and one other to get into the trailer. It was early so I rubbed my eyes until they were irritated, more than before. I got into the church and saw how amazing it looked. There was a small crowd already there, like some of Thad's friends, coach Daniels, and some people I didn't recognize. I ran into the church when I saw a few vans drive towards us, media, for sure. I shuddered as I went into the dressing room, brushing through my matted blonde and blue hair. Sunny and Roxxy came in afterwards, Sunny for makeup and Roxxy for hair. I couldn't understand how those two were wide awake at such a time, with the media right outside trying to kick down the door. I hated having to sit around for hours waiting for people to obsess over me, I was always the kind of girl to do my own makeup and hair. After about two hours, I stepped out to see all of the guys dressed up, and all of the girls I'd invited wearing their pretty, short, ruffly dresses in bright colors. Everyone was there except for Thad, which he was supposed to be there.

"Wow, you look beautiful!" Alex commented, kissing my hand like a gentleman. I smiled as I looked around again for Thad, but all I saw was people from his family, my family, and friends. He had two hours to show his face, otherwise he'd be screwed.

"Alex, where's Thad?" I uttered as Alex looked around.

"He was getting dressed when we left the house." Alex replied as he fixed his suit jacket.

"I'm going to send Sammy to get him, alright?" I said as I strutted away, only wearing leggings, a baggy sweater, and the heels I'd be wearing in two hours. For the next hour I sat down with Janice and Harmon, trying to write my vows. Then Sammy came in, looking exhausted. I looked after jotting a few word down on the practically blank page, when he stepped forward and bent over to catch his breath.

"Sammi...?"

"Yeah, I got him, but you won't be happy."

"What do you mean?" No sooner had I asked and Thad burst through the door singing 'If you're happy and you know it'. I stood up, on the verge of tears, how could he ruin this one day that was meant to be so perfect? Harmon stood up and pushed him out of the room as Janice wiped my tears. Luckily, my mascara was waterproof and my makeup remained intact.

"I'm so sorry Ice, I know today is a big day and he ruined it. I swear I got there and he was drunk already." Sammy explained. I sighed and wandered outside by myself. I went to sit on the back step, away from people and media, just to think. With only a half hour until the wedding, I had to get my shit together. I heard the door close heavily as someone joined me. I looked over my shoulder to see Moran, looking nice and dressed up, come over and sit down beside me.

"Hey, listen," He said. "I'm really sorry about Thad. But you have to go in there and be strong. You put up with this for a year, I know you can still do it."

"No I can't."

"Alice, trust me." He looked me in the eye as he put his arm around me. "I know you can." He gave me a comforting hug, helped me up, and escorted me inside where everyone clapped and cheered upon our entrance.

"Let's kick some ass today." I muttered as I went back into the room where I'd trapped myself. It was only a matter of minutes before I'd pull myself into the bulky black dress and march down the aisle, stare at the man I love for a dozen minutes before saying a few words that would bind us together until death. I was down to ten minutes when Thad's friend Larry, who was also the best man, came in to tell me we were starting soon.

"Alice?"

"Yes?" He came in, I was still in my tights and sweater, staring at myself in the large mirror.
