Alois was finally standing in front of Ciel , after endless weeks of absence and silence.
What were the odds of him stumbling upon Alois here in the middle of the night ? Almost none. It was as if the forces of destiny were trying to bring them together. It reinforced Ciel's opinion that he had to help Alois ; that their encounter on the bridge wasn't meaningless.
Maybe his dream meant something. He felt an horrible feeling creeping in him .
- " There aren't such things as premonitary dreams , right ? " He asked in a shaky voice.
- " What the fuck are you talking about ?" Alois spat.
Ciel didn't answer and switched on his cellphone's flashlight to distinguish the blonde better . Alois groaned and squinted his eyes , a disgusted plastered look on his face . Of course he wasn't happy to see Ciel and he couldn't be blamed for that .
- " Uh , nothing. Forget it." Ciel mumbled.
The blond seemed even skinnier than the last time he had seen him . He was clad in black from head to toe , with torn jeans , studded boots and a thin leather jacket.
- "What the fuck are you doing out here anyway ?" An anger-fueled fire was burning fiercely in his eyes.
- " I could ask you the same question. Shouldn't you be at the center ? " Ciel retorted.
Alois remained silent , his features angrily tightened . Ciel carefully ventured towards him , knowing him had always been a bit of a wild person. It was probably normal after all he had went through , mostly because of him and Sebastian . But now Ciel truly wanted to fix his mistakes.
- "Do not come near me!" Alois suddenly shouted .
Ciel stopped in his tracks , almost jumping with fright and froze .
- "What's going on Alois ?" he asked softly.
- "You should leave Ciel. I thought I made it clear at the hospital, but if you need me to say it out loud one more time , I will ! I do not want to have anything to do with you anymore! " he screamed.
" Alois look at me!" No reaction. "Alois !" Still nothing.
He was going to be helped , whether he wanted it or not ! Ciel stomped towards him and harshly grabbed his arm .
- "Quit acting childish ! " He ordered , growing irascible.
Alois stayed in his stubborn silence causing Ciel to tighten his grip on him , to prevent him from getting away . Alois did everything he could to try and get away but Ciel wouldn't let him go. The blonde sighed and stopped fighting , realizing it would be a pointless waste of energy.
- "So , what are you doing here ? " he asked once again , his grip on Alois firm but not agressive anymore.
- " I ran away from home , but that's none of your business. You have no right to invade my life like this ! Were you following me ? Don't you think you've already done enough harm ? "
- " I already told you I'm sorry. I was young and stupid and I'm not the same as -" he tried to explain himself.
- " Cut the crap. I can't take anymore of these fake apologies ! Shitty excuses won't change anything ! " Alois interrupted him.
- " I know it won't ! But I need you to trust me , to let him help you , to let me fix my mistakes ! " He pleaded.
- "Why would I ? You've done nothing but screw me over ! " Alois said , his face twisted in a mistrusting expression .
