Both Sunny and Clay have referred to each other as siblings, so if they were to date, it'd be like a brother and sister dating — if not to us, then through their eyes.
Yeah, they're both pretty sweet and nice, and they share similar personality characteristics, but they'd never view each other as a love interest. That's practically canon.
Besides, this ship goes against one of my favorite ships, Cleril.
But even if they didn't consider one another as siblings, Tui said Sunny will have a mate, but Sunny hasn't met the lucky dragon just yet, which immediately marks all of the Dragonets of Destiny off the list.
