As some of you may know, I used to ship this — a strong "used to," before I realized that it's pedophilic.

But it is. Or at least, in the first arc, it was.
When Deathbringer and Glory met, Glory was 6, and Deathbringer was 12.
If you weren't aware, 7 is the age of adulthood. Beginning to sound bad, isn't it, mainly since Glory was still 6 and Deathbringer was still 12 when Deathbringer started developing a crush.
In case you're not picturing it yet, Tui described the mental maturity for dragons and how to "translate" it.
So, when Glory's mental maturity was equivalent to the mental maturity of a 16-YEAR-OLD HUMAN, Deathbringer, using the same system, WOULD BE 22.
A 22-year-old. Crushing on a 16-year-old.

Anyway.
It'd be a cute couple if it weren't at least marginally creepy.
I like their characters separately — but I disagree with their relationship starting BEFORE Glory became an adult, or at least I disagree with the idea that Deathbringer began crushing on Glory when she was underage and too young for him.
I'm sure this was a mistake on Tui's part, don't get me wrong. It's still creepy, though.
