"Mission report" Abram asked as he walked around the chair you were strapped into.

You sat in silence, your eyes trailing his every move

He stopped in his tracks

"Mission report." he commanded once more

You were still silent, testing his patience as slapped you. "Mission report."

"That man with the metal arm....who is he?" you asked, still not giving him what he wanted. "An old friend" he replied, turning on the machine

-

It's been days since they'd sent you on a mission. Something about a security breach. You think it was something to do with the people that were there that night, something to do with the man.

You couldn't get his image out of your head, and that name... "Y/N" you whispered, tracing the name into your bedsheets. He was important, that name was important, but you couldn't remember why.

You opened your eyes, ripped from your thoughts as a boom erupted down the hall. You pressed your face as close to the small window of your door as you could, watching as men ran past you and shooting towards the other direction.

A figure walked in front of your door and peered at you through the glass, which caused you to back up. They shot at the handle multiple times before the door swung open.

It was him

He urged you to follow him, but you didn't listen. After all, you were still programmed to kill for HYDRA, even though they hadn't used the machine on you in a couple days. You looked at him unsurely "How do I know you?"

"I'll explain that later, but you need to get out of here." He ran into your room, grabbing your belongings before holding your hand. You softened at his touch "Bucky?" You asked. He simply smiled and nodded, handing you a gun and leading you through the maze of hallways.

You shot at soldiers as he led you towards the entrance of the building, his grasp not even loosening when he had to kick down obstacles. You made your way to the glass doors, taking a last look back as you ran through to freedom.

Time Skip --

You made your way to safety, about to board the Quinjet as Bucky stood in front of you. He pulled out a syringe full of anesthetic "Look, Y/N. I'm sorry I have to do this but-" you interrupted him "No Buck, it's okay. I might be dangerous, whatever Hydra put inside me is still there, we can't take any chances." He nodded as you pulled up your sleeve and gave him your arm. He inserted the needle, and you fell quickly to sleep.

More time skipping --

You awoke in a white room similar to the one they held Bucky in. Changed from your uniform into a pair of sweatpants and a loose fitting shirt. You didn't notice anyone there until a hand hovered over your face, making you jump.

You met a pair of glossy blue eyes, it was Bucky. He smiled warmly as you looked over at him, still groggy. "I just have to clean your wounds," he told you softly. You nodded as he pressed a damp cloth to your face

"Shit," you seethed through your teeth "Language" Steve's voice interrupted over the intercom

"Shut the hell up, Rodgers." You told him, chuckling. You looked at Bucky, who was concentrating on cleaning up the cuts around your face from the beating you ok the other day. "How long was I in there?" You dared to ask. He stopped, looking into your eyes "Almost three months." He admitted, looking at your pained and confused face.

"Three months..." you repeated, trying to recall everything. He nodded "I- we were so worried about you." He said, taking the cloth away from your face, he studied you for a little bit before blushing slightly and getting up

"Banner looked you over, and he says you seem okay to discharge as long as you're accompanied by someone, and he put me in charge of you" you nodded "Fair enough. But does that mean you have to accompany me everywhere? Like even to the bathroom." You chuckled at his expression "Of course not, but I'll be like your guardian."

He helped you to your feet "My guardian angel" you huffed, clinging on to his arm as you both walked out of the room. "Yeah, I guess so." He chuckled, looking at you with admiration.
