Chapter 4: Feels Good to be a Witch
I woke up to something being thrown onto my face. I sat up and jerked whatever it was away from me. I saw Pansy wide awake in front of me glaring. Well, she definitely isn't a morning person. Well, I'm not exactly either. Then it flew to her head and I finally realized that it was a pillow. She screamed frantically and ran towards her mirror as she gasped in agonizing terror.
"My hair! My hair! You ruined my hair! Now Draco will never love me all because of you!!" She shouted loudly enough that it could probably be heard all the way across the castle. Her hair didn't even do any damage. It looked exactly the same as it was before, well technically as always. What was weird to me was that she had a crush on Draco Malfoy. Why does she like him? I didn't see anything about him to like, especially not that egoistic personality.
"I'm sorry, Pansy. How about I braid it for you? Well, your hair is a bit too short for it all to be braided, but I can braid a piece for you, if you like. Would you like that?" I asked.
"You can braid?" She asked worriedly. Millicent was awake now due to her screams and so she got ready. She seemed to be oddly used to this. Does this happen often?
"Sure, you want me to?" I asked and she nodded her head. I got out of bed and walked over towards her. She took a seat in a chair and I stood behind her. I grabbed a random part of the left side of her hair and twisted three parts of it into a braid. "Do you have a clip or a bobby pin?" She nodded her head once again and immediately handed me one. I took it from her and pulled the braid back to the farthest side of her head and placed it into the clip.
"If you had a flower pin or colorful streamers it would look really pretty." I thought out loud. Pansy seemed to have beamed brightly as she pulled a few streamers from her trunk and handed it to me. The streamers were rainbow. Hmm, they didn't have a clip but I knew I could pull it into one. I took the streamers to the bobby pin and squeezed it through the space that was available and wrapped the ends back into it. "How's that?"
"Perfect! From now on, you're going to be my personal hair stylist every day from now on!!" She bounced off her chair happily as she turned around to face me with a wicked grin. I paled. This is not going to be a very good year with her bossing me around every morning for the rest of the year.
I got ready for my classes as I dressed up into a blue and green plaid skirt with a white shirt and a silver blouse over it. Millicent helped me put on my tie, which she taught me how to put it on along the way which the colors were silver and green. Then I put on my knee high socks which were also silver and green, and finally my black combat boots. I never go anywhere without them. I wear them practically with everything, and they still smell nice. Before I left I put in my contacts without either of them noticing and then brushed my hair out just in case they got a glimpse.
"Come on, Aquila. We need to go to the Great Hall. I'm starving." Pansy said excitedly. She must be since her hair was actually really pretty, to only think she can swoon Draco over her. I rolled my eyes as I followed behind them. We walked out of our dorm and into the Common Room. Hardly anyone was actually in here as we passed by and walked out of the room. We walked through many corridors and down many stairs til we made it to the Great Hall. We walked in and Pansy literally skipped over to the Slytherin table.
"Draco, where are you?" I heard her shout loudly. I made my way to the opposite direction to find Hermione. I found her immediately. It wasn't hard to tell since she was the only one over there reading. I made my way towards her and sat down beside her. I looked at the title of the book and inwardly groaned.
"You've already read that, Hermione. Why are you reading it again?" I asked. You see, Hermione and I read all the books before Hogwarts even started, so there was absolutely no point in reading it again.
