Chapter 13: Lord Voldy

I woke up with an annoying headache. I rubbed the back of my head and looked around. What? This surely isn't my room. Where the bloody hell am I? This place is freezing cold. I hate the cold. There wasn't anything to like about the cold. The cold is the cold, nothing to like, nothing to be happy about either. Not even snow. It makes my fingers numb when I have snow ball fights. Totally not worth it. The cold always bothered me, anyway. I looked beside me to see Ginny whose body was pale and cold, as if she was dead.

"G - Ginny?" I whispered as I put my hand on her face to feel for any warmth in them. There wasn't anything there at all. "No, Ginny, please wake up!"

"It's no use," I whipped my head around to see a boy that looked to be a few years older than me. "You can't save her, Aquila." I stood up as quickly as I could but instantly regretted it as I lost my balance. Ugh, I hate that feeling when you get up too fast and it seems like you're about to pass out. I was caught by the boy and he set me back to my feet. I stared at him cautiously.

"Who are you? How do you know my name? Where are we?" I asked as I looked around the place. There wasn't much but water and stone, and it smelled like a bathroom. It wasn't exactly a pleasant smell either. . . .

"I am Tom Riddle, and well, you told me of course." Tom chuckled. "We're inside the Chamber of Secrets."

"Really? This is pretty neat, but boring. And cold. Really, really cold. I thought this would be much more exciting." I said. "Wait, but how did I get here?"

"I brought you here, I hope you didn't mind." Tom said. I bit my lip anxiously and nervously.

"No, not at all, really." I said quickly. "So, how are you out of the diary?"

"Let's just say that Ginny helped me by giving me power. She definitely was quite the helper." Tom said. I nodded in understanding. I wonder how far we were deep under the school grounds? It must be really deep. I wonder how you get out?

"So, why are we down here? Not to be rude or anything, I was just wondering. . . ." I trailed off as I looked at all the stone that was surrounding us. It seemed quite fascinating as I wondered about its back story, yet, it was really old and was losing all of its touch and quality. Besides, it was cold, and I hope to never come back because it was cold. Simply enough. I turned back to Tom and gave him a concerned look.

"Well, you will find out soon enough, Miss Samus." Tom said with a smile. I shook my head at him.

"Hey, if I'm going to be actually speaking with you in person, you should call me by my first name, okay? It sounds weird when you address me that way." I said.

"Alright then, Aquila." He said with emphasis on my name. I smiled at him and sat back down on the stone hard floor. This was really cold and the feeling was not pleasant at all. I shrugged it off and didn't bother to do anything else. It was boring! It was like Tom was waiting for someone to come here, but who? Certainly not Harry Potter, right? I shrugged it off and tried to keep myself occupied, but it was quite hard when you're in a cold place with nothing but a dead Ginny and a man that came out of a diary. Hm, what to do. . . . well, I could rant about how cold it was.

"Hey, Tom, tell me something. What is it like to live in a diary for all those years?" I questioned as I looked up at him.

"Boring," he said and I giggled. I bet it was, having nothing to do but wait for someone to find his diary and write in it.

Through the entire time we just continued to talk and I would laugh sometimes. I'd have to say that Tom was a great guy to talk to, even if you are bored out of your mind and was freezing to death. It at least kept me occupied. Pretty much that was my only choice of doing, because I couldn't talk to an almost-dead Ginny. That would be disturbing. . . .
