Today was our fourth day in Los Angeles and the second performance night. My friends and family were coming to this show. We were all in the meeting room backstage when my parents showed up. "Mom! Dad!" I said as I saw them walk in. I got up from my seat and ran over to them. "Let me see!" my mom said as she reached for my left hand. "Oh wow! It's beautiful!" she said as she looked at my engagement ring. Just then Jungkook came over to us. "Congratulations!" my dad said to us and my mom hugged Jungkook. "Thanks." he replied. "So is the wedding going to be here or in Seoul?" my dad asked. "More likely Seoul." I responded. "We can fly you to Seoul." Jungkook added in bis best English. He really is getting better with English. "Great, we cant wait." my mom said and then hugged me. "We will go and let you two finish getting ready. Love you." my dad said and hugged me. "Love you too dad." I replied. "You two are coming over for lunch tomorrow before you leave, right?" my mom asked. "Yes mom." I replied. "Okay good. I love you sweetie and you too son." my mom said then hugged me and Jungkook.
After my parents left we went and sat at the table with Hoseok, Namjoon, and Taehyung. They had some mix fruit bowls that they were snacking on. "We did good, Jungkookie." Hoseok said as he took my left hand and looked at my ring. "Ne! It's so beautiful. I love it." I said. Jungkook leaned in and kissed my cheek. "Who hasn't been to makeup yet?" manager-nim asked. "Oh me!" I said and stood up. As I was in the makeup chair Jungkook and Seokjin were walking around singing. I love hearing them sing like this. It was their way of warming up their vocal cords. It was finally time for the boys to go on stage. I stayed off stage and watched them perform until, I'm pulled off by an assistant to get ready to go on stage for So Far Away. The assistant touches up my makeup, while I sit down and remove my shoes and put on my dance slippers. Once we return back to the stage, I take off my long cardigan and hand it to her. I wear nude dance slippers and a long flowy white ballet dress. The boys all exit the stage and it goes dark. Jungkook comes besides me and gives me a quick kiss. Yoongi and Seokjin are also right behind us waiting for the que to return to the stage. "See you up there jagi." Jungkook said as I am being told to go up on stage. After the performance the arena is left with loud applause. It felt so good to be up there. The assistant hands me a bottle of water and helps put my cardigan back on. I stayed and watched the rest of the show.
Next day, it's our last day here. Today we are having lunch with my parents and then to the airport back to Korea. Los Angeles was the last stop on the American leg of the tour. We got up and took showers, then got dressed. "Ready to see my childhood home?" I asked him as he was getting our jackets. "More like seeing all your baby photos. Haha." he responded with laughter. "Oh shut up!" I replied and gave him a little smack on his chest.
When we arrived, I just walked in like I still lived there. "MOM! DAD! We are here!" I shouted as we entered the house. My dad was sitting in his recliner watching T.V. and my mom came out of the living room. "Hey honey, lunch is almost done. Please make yourself at home son." my mom said. Jungkook went and set down on the couch. "Okay. Thank you Mrs. Wilson." Jungkook said as he sat down. "Honey, call me Mary." my mom replied. My mother was already prepared for us coming over. She had photo albums on the coffee table. "Here. Let's get this over with." I said as I took the first album and placed it on his lap. "Awww...look how cute you were." he said as he flipped through the album. "Was?" I asked giving him a dirty look. "I'm kidding. You are beautiful now jagiya." he replied and continued to look. "This one is from my first ballet recital." I said as I pointed to the photo. We were on the last album once my mom came into the living room. "Okay, lunch is ready." my mom said and we all got up to follow her to the dining room. My mom prepared my favorite American dish, chicken parmesan and a salad with garlic bread. During lunch my parents were telling Jungkook all my childhood stories. Like the time I fell and broke my leg and couldn't dance for almost six months. I fell off the roof of our house. I use to climb out my window on pretty days and climb up to the top of the roof and lay there sun-bathing. Well I slipped and crashed down on the ground breaking my leg. It sucked because I was going crazy not being able to dance.
After lunch was over we went back to the hotel to finish packing. We then joined the guys down at the cars and left for LAX. This time leaving American felt like I was going home. I laid my head on Jungkook's shoulder and slept till we landed in Korea. The American leg of the tour was now over and we had a break for couple of weeks. But first I needed to see Sung-Mi and tell her the good news. After returning back to the dorms, I left to meet Sung-Mi at a near by cafe.
"Yah Sammie!" she said when I walked into the cafe. I walked over to her sitting down at a table waving at me. "How has the tour been so far?" she asked me as I sat down. "It's been great, but not as great as this." I responded and held out my left hand. "Oh my god! He proposed!" she said as she took my hand and looked at my ring. "Ne, in Los Angeles in front of my friends and Bangtan." I replied. "This ring is huge and beautiful. I wish I could have been there." she said as she let go of my hand. "Hoseok recorded it on his phone. You can watch it next time he's around." I said. "Main reason I wanted to meet you was...even though you couldn't be there to see me get engagement. I would love if you stood up there with me on my wedding day. Please be my maid of honor!" I said. "Of course I will. I'm very honoured." she replied.
