How To Be A Baddie

Friend groups/squads

This has been on my mind lately.I've spent a lot of time thinking about how to word it, and now I am here. Ready to share.

LOL dont take that first paragraph too seriously.

As a baddie, you have a responsibility of doing two things

1. Being someone people look up to and admire

2. Playing a role in a "squad"

Now if you have been living under a rock, lemme give you a summary of what a "squad".

A squad is a group of friends coming together, to be Tumblr, have each others backs, and to have people look up to them.

You know no one will ever admit it, but that's basically what it is.

If I'm completely honest, finding a squad is hard.

And that's why, you, a baddie, are going to create one.

*cue horror music*

I know it sounds extremely difficult. But let me explain.

Ever notice how you see groups of friends constantly depart? Or you hear drama about 'back stabbing bitches'.

Of course you do. See that's the hard part. If you join a previously made squad, you have to adjust to their rules and limits of friendship.

Now as a baddie, that's a problem.

So you are going to create one. I know it sounds hard, but I'm going to break it down for you.

First things first. Know yourself well enough to where you can handle giving other people attention. instead of avoiding human contact by staying on YouTube or Wattpad.

(Disclaimer: I'm not saying you can't go on YouTube or Wattpad just make sure to have social contact).

second, find a best friend. Yes this is extremely basic but its MAJORLY important. Because once you find this best friend, you need to have someone to turn to.

And make sure once you find her/him, that they won't switch up on you.

If you've already found this best friend, you're ready for phase three

Step three, select a group of friends. Now if you just want a girl gang, that's perfectly okay. But if you want guys in there too, then this part is for you.

See, when you find someone you think you & your best friend can get along with, introduce them. A key part of squads happening, is everyone is previously introduced, and that creates friendships.

Now when you search for these people, I recommend not searching for more then one gender over the other.

Its good to have some guy friends so you have brother figures in your life. It also gives you someone to protect you from creeps lurking on you.

As for girls, you're gonna wanna have sleepovers and someone to exchange pads with in cause your best friend isn't around.

Now, groupchats/calls/face times are important. This builds up laughter through out your group, and will begin friendships.

Hanging out, outside of school is also important. It creates memories that'll last a lifetime. (If you and that group stay together once you graduate)

step three (part two/girl gangs)

See girl gangs are cool, but they're more difficult to create.

As females, we get emotional at times, and sometimes that creates drama.

Of course you can't avoid drama, no matter what friend group your in. But you dont want a huge blowout to where people you dont know get involved.

Make sure to keep any drama on the low.

In order for girl gangs to work, you have to reach out to people. Talk to people. Don't be afraid of strangers. Remember, they aren't better then you.

Step four

Once you have your squad, you must remember a couple things

1. You are still your own person. The difference is, is now you have people to fall back on, on your bad days

2. People can switch up at anytime. Make sure if someone in your group switches up, that the rest of your group is okay. and are not going to follow their leads.

3.Your best friend should still be your top priority. I know this is harsh, but remember she was there for you first. However. Do not make it obvious. Your squad should become your family. Your ride or dies.

4. Taking squad photos is needed. Needed. Not an option. Remember to have fun, but you're gonna wanna Savor those moments later on in life.

The idea of a squad has lurked in my mind as I thought of how a baddie would fit into that role. A squad shouldn't have a leader, which is why i was conflicted.
