Arias POV - Chapter Twenty Two.
                   Mature content

I woke up the next day, tear stains still left on my cheeks. All the memories of what I said last night came rushing back. I feel good about telling Joe but, I feel like I shouldn't get him involved with my mad childhood.

The sun literally beamed through my curtains, making me squint as I lift my head up. Joe was sound asleep, I could hear soft snores coming from him.

I smile at him before I escape his grip. I sit on the edge of the bed, reaching for the hoodie and threw on the floor last night. I put it on before standing up.

I straighten the hoodie out then I grab my phone of charge. Joe must of put it on charge. I unlock and read the time; 10:30. God, why am I sleeping so much?

I pull the duvet more over the bed, making sure Joe doesn't get cold. I watch him squirm before he gets sighs and gets comfy.

I leave the room, closing the door and walking across the balcony and down the stairs to the kitchen. My mum was sat at the island, drinking her coffee and reading the newspaper.

"Good morning." I say causing my mum to look up.

"Morning honey," She says as I walk over to the coffee machine. "How are you?" She asks.

I nod. "I'll be better once I know why that asshole is here." I say not turning around to face her.

She sighs. "I knew this was coming," She sighs again. "How about we go out for lunch soon, and we'll talk about it?" She suggests.

I turn around. "Joe is going away on Sunday, and I'll be staying here. So, we can go out Sunday night. I don't want Joe to be here with him on his own." I say leaning against the side crossing my arms.

She nods. "Can't wait." She looks back down at her newspaper. I roll my eyes as I continue to make my coffee.

Once my coffee was done, I sat down at the island with her but opposite of her. "Where is he now?" I ask.

My mum looks up again at me then looks back down. "He's at work." She answers. I nod while taking a sip of my coffee.

I then take my phone out of my hoodie pocket, resting it on the island surface. I unlock it to check my social media.

I'm supposed to meet up with my friend today, but I'm really not in the mood. I'd rather go and see my stepmother and get out of this house for a bit.

I open my text messages after I pick my phone up. I send him a quick message.

Aria:
Good morning Jacob, hope your well? Do you think we could reschedule for tomorrow or Saturday?x

I half smile as I send the message. I place my phone back down and continue to drink my coffee. "Joe seems like a nice boy." My mum says folding up the newspaper.

I smile as I gulp the liquid in my mouth. "He really is mum, I'm so happy." I smile like crazy as I talk about my man.

My mum smiles while tossing the paper to the other side of the island. She folds her arms. "I'm glad." She nods.
