Christmas eve, 2016

Marcus POV

Its Christmas eve and Noel has work until 8 tonight,i am on my way to Noels house though just not for Noel, i'm going to talk to her dad about something that's been on my mind for a while now i just hope he has a good reaction. if her dad says yes then i'm gonna have to talk too Ms.Clara about some stuff too.

When i got to there house i got out locked my truck and walked up to the porch and then i knocked on the door, then her dad opened the door.

"What are you doing here boy?" he asked looking at me like i'm a werido

"We'll sir as you know iv'e been going on dates with your daughter and i really like her" i said feeling and looking nervous, but getting straight to the point.

"Do you now?" he said smirking at me

"Yes a lot actually she makes me really happy" i said smiling

"Yeah, she has that way about her" he says bragging about his Daughter.

"So why are you here boy" he said seeming interested

"We'll i was wondering if i could have your permission to ask her to be my girlfriend?" i asked feeling nervous

"And if i say no?" he asked looking curious

"We'll i'm gonna be honesty with you, i'll probably ask her anyway i can't just let someone like her go, i don't know if you know but your daughter is amazing i don't think i can just forget about her" i said getting serious.

"Good answer" he said with a smile

"So is that a yes" i said smiling back.

"let me tell you a story, once when i was your age a little older i met the most beautiful woman i'd ever seen she was a year younger then me and a pain in my ass but i fell in love with her after she graduated high school, we told her family about us, they hated me not because i was older but because of the color of my skin, that girl didn't let what her family thought about me stop her from loving me and a year later i asked her to marry me and a year after that she blessed me with Noel. Now i'm not saying ask her to marry you but i'm saying my wife would come to me in my sleep and try to kill me if i tried to stop you from being with our daughter, so yeah kid you can ask her to your girlfriend"

he told the story with a look of admiration and longing on his face. I was shocked yeah its not exactly the same situation but i'm really happy he didn't say no. i hope she doesn't say no either

"Thank you sir" i said smiling at him.

"May i speck to Ms.Clara?" i asked still smiling big.

"Of course" he said walking away.

a few seconds later Ms.Clara was at the door with a big smile on her face.

"Yes my dear?" she said smiling at me.

"Hi Ms.C i was wondering if you could invite my family over for Christmas dinner, i want to surprise Noel and ask her to be my Girlfriend"

"Awe that's so sweet, I got your back my friend, just make it cute for her" she says with a smile.

"You know i will" i said with a playful wink

After my conversation with Ms.C i left and drove home.

When i got home i went to the kitchen wear mama was making dinner, i love having her home.

"Hey mama can i talk to you?" i ask
