Chapter.20. We gotta figure this out.

Noel POV, Same day 

its 5:30 pm and me and Marcus are waiting for my aunt and my dad to come in from work, the both get calls from school cause there listed as my guardian so the school calls both of them. 

A few minutes later my aunt came into the house, i stood up and before i could say anything she put her hand up and stopped me.

"I don't want to hear it, i'm tired and your fathers gonna be mad, so be prepared." she said going up the steps to her room.

We sat back down and waited for my dad to arrive and when he did all hell broke lose. 

"NOEL THOMAS!" My dad came is the house yelling after 

"Yes, dad?" i said a little scared from the tone of his voice.

"Me and your mama didn't raise you to act a fool like this, whats going on?" my dad said.

"Dad there was this guy at school who was being disrespectful and i stopped Marcus from hitting him then he said another degrading thing about my butt and i smacked him, he said somethings and i hit somethings, then me and Marcus ditched to avoid getting in trouble". i said to my dad explaining what happened at school.

"Well the last part of your plan didn't work very well" he said looking mad.

"I know i'm really sorry dad, i let my anger and pride get the best of me" i said looking guilty.

"the school said your suspended for the rest of the week, so i want your car keys and your laptop" my dad said with a sigh while shaking his head looking disappointed.

"Go on home Marcus, shes not allowed to go out or see anyone until shes allowed back at school" my dad said.

"See ya later baby girl" Marcus said kissing my head. 

Once he was gone my dad turned to me. 

"Did you beat that boys ass" he said smirking.

"Yes" i said nodding my head, and laughing.

He chuckled "Go up to your room, i'll call you when dinners ready".

"Okay" i said going up the stairs. 

Marcus POV

When i got home from Noels my mama was cooking dinner so we sat down and ate and i told her about what happened with Noel at school.

"Boy i'm telling you i don't know why some of these little boys mama's didn't teach them how to treat a lady, that's one thing i made sure you grow up knowing" mama said shaking her head.

"I'm not usually as violent mama i promise but when it comes to Noel i just want to keep her safe" i said.

"it's cause you love her baby boy and that's fine" mama said smiling at me. 

"Your right mama i really am" i said smiling.

"Good night honey" mama said going up the stairs to her bed room.

i locked up the house and turned off the lights then went up stairs to my room.

I laid in bed thinking about Noel until i fell asleep.

The Next Morning, Same POV 

Right now were having breakfast and talking about looking for a new house, when there was a loud sound of glass breaking and we all got up and ran in the living room.

"Little thugs" mama said shaking her head.

I picked up the brick and read the note attached 

"No one leaves my gang without a price" i read the note out loud.
