Chapter.22. Grocery shopping

Noel's POV

Today was a pretty laid back day i like to think of these last few days before Marcus's meet up with this gang leader we found out his street name is 'The Killer' which worried me a lot .My dad said when he brought him up to people back home they kinda got mad, i guess he doesn't have a good reputation back in Georgia, i never even heard of him but i guess that's cause my dad did his best to keep me in the dark about gang related stuff.

Right now me and Marcus are in my living room cuddle up on the sofa, lately iv'e been feeling a little insecure i gang a few pounds after we moved here and i found out at my check up i had at the doctors earlier in the week and it's just been bothering me, i use to be so insecure to the point where i starved myself and as soon as i started eating well again i gained more weight then i had before, iv'e always struggled with my weight i eat regular size portions and i hardly eat out or eat much fried food and the weight just doesn't go anywhere, i love myself most days but some times i just don't think i'm goof enough for Marcus i mean i also know that no girls like the hoe's iv'e had to deal with deserve him either, he's an amazing guy i just think he deserve someone who is more shaped for him.

Anyway we are finishing up this movie its around 2 in the afternoon and we have to go grocery shopping for Sunday dinner, since we spent the holidays together our family's realized we enjoy the dinners together so two Sundays out of the month we get together at one of our houses after church and eat dinner and watch a movie or something on tv as one big family we switch back and forth from house to house for each dinner so i'm not cooking all the time.

The movie ended and Marcus and i are just laying here in each others arms.

"Come on babe we gotta go to the store to get stuff for dinner tomorrow" i said trying to pull away from Marcus, key word try he wouldn't let me up.

"Noooo, i don't want to move i love when you lay on me like this" he said referring to the laying position were in on the sofa.

"Oh please Marcus i'm probably hurting you, let me up" after i said that he's grip on me wasn't as tight so i took my chance to get off him.

"What the hell does that mean" Marcus said looking at me in a confused but mad look.

"Nothing babe, lets go" i said walking away and putting on my shoes.

"I'll let you think this over for now" he mumbled under his breath but i could still hear him.

At the grocery store, Marcus's pov

As we walk down the aisle and Noel picks up what ever she needs for dinner tomorrow, i'm just looking around making sure nobody looks out of character. Iv'e been a little on edge lately now that the killer is back in town and he knows about my want to meet up with him i know that he's watching me making sure this isn't a set up, but it's not all i want to do is keep the people i love safe and that's at all cost.

Were walking in the store and i notice a guy checking out Noel's butt when she stands on her tippy toes to reach for something that she's too short to get. i reach out and grab her butt on purpose cause he's watching, making her jump then i walk up behind her blocking his view then i reached over her and grabbed what she wanted. I looked down and seen her shaking her head.

"What?" i asked innocently.

"Nothing, nothing at all" She said shaking her head and laughing quietly.

"Come on" i said grinning down at her while grabbing her hand and dragging her back to the cart.

Once we were finished at the store i loaded up the bags in my truck after helping her in, i really just didn't want her bending over in public so i decided to do it myself, she doesn't even realize how good she looks even in leggings and a oversize t-shirt.

Now i'm driving back to Noel's house, she's singing along to the radio and holding my hand as i drove.

Once we pulled up to her house i hopped out and walked around and helped Noel out, we both grabbed the bags and walked up to the house i took her bags while she unlocked the door, when she unlocked it we walked inside and headed straight to the kitchen after greeting her family in the living room. In the kitchen i put the bags on the counter and we started to unpack them.

When we were done i got a text from my mom telling me to come home.

"Baby, i gotta go mama wants me home to get ready for church tomorrow" I said turning to Noel.

"Okay babe, i'll see you at church" she said waving good bye.

I stared at her for a minute until she turned back around.

"Whats wrong?" she asked when she noticed me staring.

"oh so your not going to kiss me goodnight?" i asked faking hurt.

"Oh sorry babe i was making sure i had everything organized for dinner" she said smiling at me.

"Just get over here and kiss me already" i said smiling.

She rolled her eyes, and walked around the counter to me.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and she wrapped hers around my neck and kissed me.

The kiss was slow and sweet it lasted a few minutes before she broke the kiss and smiled at me.

"Go home babe" she whispered smiling.

"I'll see you tomorrow" i whispered back smiling back at her.

We broke are hug and i walked to the door with her behind me, i opened the door and turned around and kissed her cheek then walked she stood in the door way until i got in my truck and pulled off.
