Chapter. 38. Prom

DON'T PLAY THE SONG YET

Noel's POV

(May 31st 2017)

Prom is in five days and nothing is going right for me, i still haven't found a dress, or shoes, and Marcus cant get his vest or tie without knowing the color of my dress, too make matters worse no one has paid me back for the limo and hotel rooms i paid for ahead of time, so i cant even buy my dress. Marcus is moving into his new house today, this gang Involvement is a lot to handle and takes up some much time but my baby has been keeping himself safe and that's all i need. One of the only benefits to joying the gang and helping Kaiser build some legit businesses is the profit, my uncles have invested into the companies and with Marcus's help Kaiser was able to flip the profit pay them back and build into other companies, kaiser is now an investor and has some legit businesses with the drug money on the side. I think that him getting into more logistics of businesses has made him a lot of a better person. He has even started to give back to the community by planting trees in the park, and donating money to the local elementary school for them to build a new playground for the kids and provide supplies for kids who's families can't. Marcus has made a lot of money while working with Kaiser and though he's put most of it into savings he can't help but want to spoil his mama, he helped her purchase her dream house. Its in a nice neighborhood not to far from my families. I offered to help them move in but he said the movers were doing most of the work. i decided to let him be with his family, this is his moment. While i stress over this damn prom dress.

Right now me and Cece are in a bridal shop and this plus size women is helping me with my dresses i tried on a bunch of different colors and i am now trying on a black gown and it feels right, nothing is to tight and it seems to hug me in the right places, and when i turn around in the mirror i know its the one. I won't even need any alterations which is great since this is so last minute. "This is the dress" i said and Cece agreed. I took a close us picture of the fabric and sent it to Marcus so he can get his matching vest and tie to go with his suit. I used my dads credit card to pay for the dress and sent him a message explaining why and he sent me back a text saying that i don't need to pay him back its on him. I love my father for always doing little things like that just to make my day brighter.

Time skip: June 5th-day of prom, Marcus's POV

It's the morning of prom and since me and my family just moved into our new home my mama decided to have the prom party meet here, she went out to different garden stores and home improvement stores to decorate the front and back yard for pictures with different plants, flowers, etc. This women even had a small water fountain installed. My mama loves her garden and are new home and i'm happy i could make this all happen for her, even if there's some illegal business behind me having the money for this house i'm still proud, because i did what i had to, to protect my brother.                                                                                                                                      Everyone is getting ready at there own houses and coming over at 5 o'clock for pictures. I'm excited to see my baby she has been stressing about prom but everyone payed her back for the limo and stuff and she finally found her dress so that put her mind at ease. Before prom tonight were going out to eat i booked a room at a nice restaurant for everyone. After prom tonight were gonna hit up a after prom party then everyone is coming back to my house to sleep over were just gonna have a chill movie night.

5 o'clock Noel's POV

Me and cece arrived at Marcus's house all of our friends are here there is ten of us all together.  Mama Williams wants us all to do the date revel so everyone is being separate in rooms if your date is in one room your in the other. its not just separate by boys and girls because Cece is going with this girl she likes so she went to the room with most of the boys, and our friend Jamie is gay so he is with me and the other girls, while his boyfriend Trevor is with the boys. Everyone parents are downstairs in the garden, the boys go down first and once there outside we are called down the steps we all step out one by one to meet our dates the parents are taken a bunch of pictures as everyone meets there dates.                                                                                             I am last in line and when i step out on the patio and my eye meet Marcus's i grin he looks amazing in his suit  he grins back at me and wraps his arms around my waist and i wrap mine around his shoulders, i see a flash out the corner of my eye but my eyes are locked with his he leans down and pecks my lips and theirs another flash.
