I woke up with my face resting against the cold window of the car. I pulled myself back, my neck stiff and slightly painful. My hand was wrapped up inside of someone else's as I cast a conservative look to my side. He was asleep, his hand clenched possessively around mine. I looked out of the window and was surprised to see that I still recognised my surroundings. It wasn't too far from my Father's.
Was he taking me there?
I tried to pull my hand from Jackson's but his grip was insanely strong. The car drove past my Father's, heading further into town. Hands snaked around my waist as I froze solid, staring out of the window as I tried to stay still. Jackson pulled me back so that I was leaning against him, his chest firm behind my back. His hands were resting around my waist as his lips trailed down the side of my neck, not kissing, just brushing. It made me feel queasy. It made my skin feel like it was about to gain a mind of it's own and crawl right off my bones.
"I don't think we've been officially introduced. My name is Jackson Wang. I'm your future husband." I turned to face him, shocked at his audacity.
"That's very forward of you," I had given up on playing the victim. My chances of seeing Jimin now were slim to none. Jackson killing me was one of the better choices facing me right now, the other options not even worth thinking about.
"I'm a strong believer in being truthful, babe. I'm being honest with you and I'd appreciate the same from you." His voice was stern.
"Mmhmm, such a strong believer in honesty." I muttered to my nails. "That's why you told Namjoon you wanted to make a deal, just to try and kill him. That's why you made a deal with my Father, just to break it." Jackson laughed from his stomach, pulling me in tighter.
"It's pretty cute that you're displacing your anger from your Father and Namjoon onto me." I tried to struggle against him but it was futile.
"Where are you taking me?" I demanded.
"We're staying in Korea for a moment. I have unfinished business with The Order and The Brotherhood." He must have seen the way my face twisted as an immediate frown took over his features. "I wouldn't get your hopes up. You won't be seeing your Father or that Park Jimin. Oh yes, I know all about him." My heart sank as he pulled me from my seat and into my lap. "I would have preferred you unspoiled, but beggars can't be choosers. I have you now and he's never getting you back. He can be the first, but I will be the last." Those words made me cringe, hard. My body stiffening.
"Don't be frightened of me, Ruby. You're going to have the very best life with me. I'll keep you safe and looked after. You'll want for nothing. Everything you could possibly want - it's yours." I sighed at his words.
"Why would you want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with you?" I asked and he scoffed.
"I have loved you for years. I can wait a while for you to come around. If anything, I'm a patient man." He said with an odd sense of pride.
