Paige had been in Jimin's room for the past two days. She'd locked the door and ignored the various efforts of Hoseok, Jungkook and Taehyung. She hadn't moved from the bed. All she had done was sleep, cry, repeat. She just felt completely at a loss. After what Jackson had put her through, her mind had shut down, she didn't want to function any more. She just felt sick constantly and the one thing that could make her feel better wasn't just unavailable - it was non-existent.
"Paige-ah! Open this door right now or so help me I will kick it down!" She recognised the voice but it wasn't Jungkook, Taehyung or Hoseok. She turned over, not wanting to listen.
"It's useless hyung, we've been trying to get her to open it for days. Hold on...what if she's done something?" Paige pulled the blanket tighter around herself as she tried to block out their voices.
"I'm kicking the door down. If Jimin comes back, he'll just have to deal with it. If she's done something - I'll never be able to forgive myself!" She heard something smash into the door a couple of times before it flew open, loud footsteps storming across the room. A firm pair of arms wrapped around her and the blanket, hugging her tightly. He pulled the blanket down from her face, pushing her hair back and looking at her with a mixture of relief and concern.
"I've missed you Paige." Jin smiled. Paige broke down in his grasp, wrapping her arms around him as she pressed her face into his shoulder. He rubbed her back reassuringly. "How about you take a nice hot shower and I'll make you some food?" She pulled back from him, retrieving her blanket.
"What's the point?" It hurt to use her voice, it came out rough and husky. Jin raised an eyebrow to her.
"I never took you for a quitter." He said. She blinked at him a couple of times as though registering what he had said. "Plus - if you don't eat then I can't tell you the good news." A smile danced on his face as she watched him through narrow eyes. She went to open her mouth to speak but his voice silenced her. "Those are the conditions. Believe me, you'll want to shower and eat before you hear it."
Paige sighed, throwing the blanket from her and wandering across the room to the bathroom. She was well aware of Jin's eyes on her. She was still wearing the dress from that night, her face was still bloody and her body was still bruised. Once in the bathroom, she peeled the dress away nervously, discarding it. She ran the water as hot as she could, stepping under the stream and letting it wash everything away. She grabbed a sponge, raking it over her skin, again and again and again.
She couldn't take it.
She just kept reliving it. She couldn't shake it from her mind. Sinking down in the shower cubicle, her body rocked as she cried, sobs echoing.
Jimin's Point of View
Jimin had forgotten how long the walk into the house was. He'd left his car far enough away to avoid suspicion while Yoongi had went to find the rest of the guys before Jackson Wang got to them. Just seeing the house in the distance was enough to send chills rushing up his spine. His hand fell automatically to the gun at his side.
