The members slowly started to filter back into the room, Paige's Uncle bringing up the rear end. She suddenly felt sick as Sehun resumed his spot next to her, giving her shoulder a reassuring nudge.
"Suffice to say - we have a winner by a large majority." Her Uncle turned to face the pair of them, she was sure her heart had stopped beating. "Paige-ah, congratulations. You spoke well and you have been rewarded. It seems the members of this gang are ready to get back to work. Condolences Sehun but I know that you agree that this is for the best." Sehun shook his father's hand before turning to Paige.
She was in a state of shock. She couldn't believe it. The idea that all of these gnarly gang members were happy to be led by her? It shook her to her very core. She almost felt teary but she held firm.
"What is your first proposal Paige?" Sehun asked. The room was silent as all focus turned to her. She looked around the room, smiling slightly.
"I want to thank you all for giving me this opportunity. I stand by what I said earlier. Our first priority is Jackson Wang. I want our best men working on a location. I need answers and I need them quickly." Paige spoke. "I want to move fast and hard. Jackson Wang has gotten away with this for far too long - not a moment longer." Paige picked herself up from the sofa, looking to Sehun. "Sehun - I trust you to organise the men into their teams. I need to go and see my father. I'll be back in a few hours."
Sehun nodded to her in understanding as the men bowed their heads to her as she walked from the room.
"Paige-ah." Her Uncle called of her as she stepped outside. She turned to face him, car keys in hand. "I have something for you." He handed her a mobile phone from his lap, before handing her a sealed box. The box was heavy and metallic, she shook it lightly - it rattled. He smiled up to her as she started unboxing it. "That phone has all the important numbers you will need in it and everyone who needs that number, has it. As for the box - it was an idea your father played with. I think the time is now right."
In the box was a gun.
A beautifully decorated gun. She looked to him and he nodded. It was hers and it was from her father. She couldn't believe she was about to cry over a gun.
