He crossed his arms and looked at me, waiting patiently for my answer. An amused smile spread across his plump lips as he tilted his head. I stiffened my resolve, I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of seeing me cry.
"At first? Probably. Over time? Not so much. Everything and everyone is replaceable. Expendable." He couldn't hide his shock at my answer. He lowered himself so that he was looking directly into my eyes.
"Aww, poor baby. Do Daddy and Mommy not give you enough attention? Do they only let you have one credit card?" He held his chest tight in mock horror. My lip curled as I rolled my eyes, turning my head to one side so that I didn't have to look at him a moment longer. His hand quickly grabbed my jaw, pushing my cheeks up and pulling me back around to face his gaze. "Don't be so rude, darling. It won't end well for you. Tell me about your parents."
"My Mother died when I was young. My Father works all of the time." I was growing tired of his games. If he was planning on killing me, why the delay? Just get it over with.
"You've put me in a difficult position, darling. Usually when people see things they shouldn't see, they never get the opportunity to see things again. But you - something about you interests me, I can't put my finger on it. I think I may keep you around a little while." The amused tone in his voice turned my stomach.
"If you're going to kill me, please just get it over with." His face broke into a smile as he resumed pacing the room once more.
"Where's the fun in that?" He teased as a sharp knock rang out against the door. He rolled his eyes before he beckoned for them to enter. My eyes moved to where the laughter was coming from, my mouth fell open unceremoniously at the sight before me.

"What's so funny?" His eyes narrowed as the two men entered the room. Jungkook made his way directly to me, resting his hands on my shoulders, heavily.
"I had wondered where you'd gotten to, Ruby. I can't say I ever imagined you'd end up here...well, not by these circumstances anyway."
"You know her?" The boss turned on Jungkook, clearly unimpressed.
