Chapter nine

Sara and Julia woke to a loud banging on the door.

"Open up!! Baby open up!!"

It was Dominique. Sara began to panic and told Julia she had to leave.

"Julia please. I don't want you to get hurt, she's crazy and I don't know what she might do."

"No, Julia protested, I am here to help you and that's what I'm going to do."

Julia walked to the door and opened it. She saw Dominique slumped in the door way. She smelled of vodka and cheap perfume.

"Who the hell are you?" Dominique slurred the heat of her vodka breath blew into Julia's nose. "Oh you're the lawyer lady who wants that bitch of mine."

Julia's face began to turn red with anger. Before she knew it she had a hand full of Dominique's hair. She dragged her across the floor.

"Now you wanna know something Dominique. I really like Sara and she's someone I would like to be with. there is just this one thing in the way."

Julia took Dominique and punched her across the face leaving a trail of blood dripping from her mouth. Dominique tried fighting back.

Julia took a shot to the face. She punched Dominique right in the jaw. Sara ran to the phone calling 9-1-1.

"Dominique please stop! Stop!" Sara yelled at the top of her lungs. Her screams were answered with more punches to Dominique's face by Julia.

Before Julia could get another punch in, the police were at the door. They ran and broke up the beating that Dominique was receiving.

Dominique was arrested and charged with assault. Sara took Julia to the hospital.

"Sara, I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. You were protecting me and I should thank you."

"I was planning a special night for us. I didn't want to end up here. There was something I really wanted to talk to you about."

"Like?"

"Well, these last two months have been amazing. You're amazing and I really like being around you."

"I like being around you too." Sara smiled.

"I...I was uh wondering if you would like to be exclusive?"

"You know for a lawyer, you're really bad with words. Of course I would."

Sara kissed Julia and held her hand as the doctor came in. The doctor checked out Julia and signed her out. That night they went back to Julia's place.

Still sore from the disagreement, Julia laid down on her Californian King bed. Sara stood in the doorway looking at Julia. She finally had a woman worth her time.

"Come here." Julia said.

Sara walked over a smile creeping upon her face. She laid beside Julia. The moon shined its light on the two of them. Their skin glowing.

The sound of the waves floated into the quite room. The sweet ocean breeze wrapped around them as they got closer to one another.
