They turned the corner on to a dusty road.
"What's this place?" Sara asked.
"Just wait."
Julia continued to drive for a mile. She came to a stop.
"Walk with me." Julia said.
Sara followed Julia to a lake. The lake was surrounded by trees and bushes of flowers. The moonlight reflecting against it.
"This is beautiful,"Sara said.
"Yea, my dad brought me here after my mother left. I would scream until my voice gave out. After he died, I did the same thing. I came here so much it felt like a second home."
"I'm glad you shared it with me. it's beautiful."
They sat there all night. Looking at the stars and reminiscing on childhood dreams. They both dozed off.
The sun shined it's warmth over Julia and Sara as they lay under the trees. The birds filled the air with music. Julia looked up into Sara's eyes.
"Good morning," she said with a smile.
"Good morning." Sara responded.
"I can't believe we stayed here all night. I've never felt so at peace."
They stood up stretching their bodies. Julia began packing.
"Sara, what would you say if I wanted to make us official?"
Sara looked up from the ground smiling, " I'd love that."
They finished picking up and headed to Julia's home. An hour layer they arrived. Sara walked to her car.
"Thank you for this beautiful weekend. After all you went through with me, I'm surprised you even want to date me."
Julia smiled. "you're an amazing person with a lot to give. I just hope you show it to me."
They kissed, it heated up with their desire. But, both of them knew it had to stop. Their busy lives lay ahead. Though they looked forward to spending more time together.
