Beth's POV
"How's she been?" Casper asks quietly (referring to Liv) sitting next to me as we wait for the others for breakfast. We had all arranged to meet in the restaurant to have breakfast so we could plan our day out.
"Casp, it's not my time or place to say." I reply with a sigh, I didn't even know where to begin to say how she had been since he's left. Safe to say I was worried about my best friend.
"Come on Beth, I can't have you not talk to me as well... I tried talking to Liv yesterday but she won't even look at me..." He tells me as he hangs his head low, I was getting frustrated. I wanted to tell him how he made Liv feel when he left her, I wanted to tell him how I think my best friend is depressed but refuses to talk to anyone about it, I wanted to tell him how she puts on a mask and acts all happy especially in front of their little girl when I know she's not, I wanted to tell him everything. But I couldn't. I'm not the one who should.
"Casp, she doesn't trust you... Why should she? You left her! And when she needed you the most! You left her with no explanation! I'm sorry! If you want to be back in her life, you're going to have to do more effort than asking me about her! I'm not going to say anything." I flap my arms up and down and head towards the breakfast buffet where Joe was standing, wearing his black skinny jeans, green sugg life hoody and his glasses.
"Hey Gorgeous." Joe announces wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him as he pecks me on the lips. "You okay?" He frowns as I pull away and look over at Casper who had his head against the table in his arms.
"Casper." Is all I say wrapping my arms up in one of Joe's hoodies that I was wearing.
"Babe, there's nothing we can do. It's down to them, to work things out." Joe explains to me, although I already knew that.
"I know..." I sigh resting my head onto Joe's shoulder. "I'm going to ring Liv." I tell him, I wasn't hungry anymore.
Liv's POV
Looking into the mirror, I smiled -slightly but only slightly because I had woken up with a headache that felt like a really bad hangover. I went over my check list before I had to leave; shower, check. Hair, check. Make - up, none - needed. I took my phone charge, grabbed my purse and made my way downstairs. Beth had phoned me after I had just got out the shower to say that everyone was already downstairs for breakfast, they were just waiting for me. Although something felt odd about that phone call, she sounded upset. I wanted to know what was wrong.
"Liv!" Beth exclaimed getting up from her seat next to Joe to come and give me a hug. "I missed you last night!" She continues making me laugh into her shoulder as we hug each other. I didn't even have to guess who eyes I felt burning into my back.
"Awww. I'm sure you had lots of fun without me." I smile back as we pull away and make our way over to the table as my eyes widen then frown as I look back at Beth, who just smiles sympathetically.
"Hey." Caspar mumbles as I sit down, I really wasn't in the mood to talk to him.
"Hi." I replied bluntly as I look over to Alfie and about to start talking to Alfie.
"Liv?" I hear Casp ask quietly tapping me on my arm, I roll my eyes. I hated being mean, but it's just too hard to talk to him right now.
"What?" I answer turning round to him as I fold my arms, I was so tempted to run again. But I knew I couldn't do that. I can't keep running from my problems.
"C-Can we talk?" He stutters out, I raise an eyebrow, Caspar only stutters when he's nervous?
"There's nothing to talk about." I shrug.
"Please" He continues using his famous puppy eye look, he knows I can't say no.
"Fine. But just because I'm willing to talk to you doesn't mean anything. I've lost all trust towards you, and you're going to have to do a lot more than explain why you left when you did, if you ever want to be back into my life. Especially, Annabelle's." I tell him standing up from my chair putting my phone into my jean pocket as he looks at me confused. "You coming?" I ask as I make my way out of the restaurant and the building, there was no way I was going to talk to him here.
