After we all got done eating, I started to clean the house up. Kaila cleaned up behind herself most of the time and Kai was barely home so I didn't have much to clean, but it was something. I wanted a job, but Kai begged me to be a stay at home mom, so eventually I gave in.
"Mommmmmyyy!" I heard Kaila call out to me. I went into the bedroom me and Kai shared.
"Whaaat Kaila?"
Her and Kai was sitting up in the bed watching her favorite cartoon, Sponge Bob.
"Watch TV with us, please?" she said with her hands together and under chin, her usual give-me-what-I-want pose.
I smiled, "After I'm done cleaning, I will."
"Come on, baby, we feel lonely without you," Kai said with his hands together like Kaila, mocking her.
I laughed, "Okay, Okay."
I started walking towards the bed, but stopped when the doorbell ringed.
"I'll get it," Kai announced while starting to get up.
"No, I'll get it, Kai," I suggested while leaving the room. There was no sense in him getting up when I was already up.
"Hurry back!" I heard him call after me.
I skipped to the door.
"Who is it?" I asked before opening it.
The person didn't respond, but I opened the door anyway, getting ready to yell at some kids for playing with the doorbell again. But instead I was greeted with a gun pointing in my face.
"Where's Kai, bitch?"
"I should've known it was you!" I screamed with tears falling from my eyes in fear.
"Yeah, yeah. Where the fuck he at, Diamond," he asked with the gun still raised.
"H-he's not here," I studdered.
"Stop fucking lying!" he screamed, frustrated at my answer.
"Who's at the door, baby?" Kai asked while coming down the stairs.
