Kai POV

Diamond turned away from the door with tears streaming down her face. She started shaking her head fast back and forth.

"Whats wrong?" I asked. I tried standing on my toes to see who was behind her, but I still couldnt see. She started moving her hands in a way of telling me to go back.

"Back for what?" I muttered.

"Go," she whispered before her body was pushed hard to the tile floor. Lil Rick stood in the door way with a gun raised at me.

"What the fuck?" I exclaimed.

Damn, he got me.

"Daddy?"

I looked down at Kaila with her teddy bear in her hand. When did she leave the room? It felt like everything was moving in slow motion as I looked back at Lil' Rick.

He took his aim off of me and aimed it at Kaila.

My daughter.

My baby girl.

"Nooo!" Diamond screamed in agony, still on the floor.

Suddenly, Lil' Rick's body then started to shake, bullets flowing back to back into him non stop, his body twisting in different ways. I grabbed Kaila from the floor quickly, while she screamed and cried in my arms.

I knew she was terrified.

Lil' Rick finally fell to the floor, reveilng Bone with a smoking gun in his hand.

I looked up at the ceiling, "Thank you, God."

"Yall aight?" Bone asked while stepping over Lil' Rick's body like a dirty welcome mat.

Diamond layed on the floor with her hands covering her face crying. Kaila was still in my arms sniffling. Bone put his gun in his pants and came over to me and Kaila.

"Thanks, man," I said while giving him a 'man hug'.

He rubbed Kaila's back. "You okay, lil mama?"

I felt her nodded her head on my shoulder. I hugged her closer to me. My baby was almost taken away from us.

Diamond sat up against the wall.

"I should've let you kill him," she told me.

She stood up and came over to us. I hugged her in my free arm.

"I know baby," I said into her hair. "I know."
