"Naw, I can't let you go tonight," Kai said. He followed me into our room and layed stretched across the bed, watching me look for something to wear tonight.
I rolled my eyes before turning around. "Why not?" I asked trying to hide the devesation in my voice. I really didn't want to sit around here all night doing nothing. "We agreed to do this shit Kai, so don't try and stop me now. Damn!" I added in frustration to his jealous ways.
I turned back around and continued looking through the closet. I had less than an hour to get ready and all this small talk was wasting time.
I heard Kai exhaled in frustration.
"This shit is really getting to me, Diamond," he admited.
I turned around to face him again.
"Tonight is the night, baby," I told him what he wanted to hear.
He sat up, reached in his jeans pocket, and got his phone. I watched as he pressed one button, the button he's been itching to use since the night of the party.
"Get ready," Kai said into the phone, "It's show time."
