Kai's POV
"I got everything under contol, Kai. Trust me."
I pulled the phone away from my ear, making sure I heard right.
"Partna' I don't trust nobody, but I'ma believe you when you say you got shit under control."
He paused for a minute. "Yeah, I got you, man."
I looked at the door, watching Diamond come in with a smile on her face. She's been more happier than usual, and I hope it wasn't because of that snake ass Bone.
"I'ma talk to you later, my nigga," I said before pressing the end button.
Diamond came over and sat by me still smiling.
"Fuck you smiling about?" I asked her.
She looked over at me, her smile getting wider. "Aww, my baby jealous?" she cooed while kissing my cheek.
"Hell naw," I tried to play it off.
But the truth is, I can't stand Diamond being around Bone like she has been. It's eating me up inside to let her be with another man. But I played it cool, well until now.
"You mine. Ain't none to be jealous about," I added, telling her and myself that.
She jumped up and skipped up the stairs.
"Good, because we're having a date tonight!" she yelled over her shoulder.
