pancakes

"gray!" ethan called out before flipping another pancake.

"coming" he heard the soft voice reply soon followed by foot steps coming down the stairs.

ethan chuckled, creating a smiley face out of chocolate chips and whipped cream on grayson's pancake.

"ethan!" the younger twin smiled as he saw his pancake, "my favorite! how did you know?"

ethan frowned, hoping the familiar breakfast would spark his memory.

"grayson, you're my brother so of course i know" he lied, smiling weakly before sitting down next to his brother.

"oh. right! that makes sense" grayson said, beginning to cut his pancake.

"so you don't remember me making this for you yesterday?" ethan asked hesitantly, glancing over at the boy eating his pancakes.

"what? no." the tanned boy furrowed his eyebrows, still focusing on his food.

"i don't really remember yesterday come to think of it" grayson furrowed his eyebrows, turning towards ethan.

"it's okay. i guess it just went by fast" he shrugged, looking down.

"were we in love yesterday?" grayson smiled at his brother, "because i know i'm in love with you today"

ethan blushed, looking over to his brother, "yes. we were in love yesterday"

"good" grayson laughed and threw a chocolate chip at his brother, making him laugh.

"i'll always love you gray, and i tell you this everyday"

"really?" grayson asked, furrowing his eyebrows together, "i- i don't remember. i'm so sorry" a frown spread across his face.

"no baby it's okay" ethan smiled softly, leaning in, kissing his brother on the lips.
