grayson looked around frantically for his boyfriend. ethan, being the anxious person he is, hated being at the mall and needed to have space.

"fuck" grayson whispered, turning on his heal. he needed to find his boyfriend before something happened.

"ethan?" he cooed, not wanting to cause a scene. grayson also hated too much attention.

his head whipped around. he needed to find ethan.

as he continued to fast walk around the mall, he finally caught sight of his dark haired boyfriend.

"ethan!" he yelled, running over to the shorter boy with tears streaming down his face.

"gray?"  ethan smiled weakly, "i was looking all over for you! why did you leave my side?"

"i- i couldn't breathe. there were too many people." ethan continued to cry, wrapping his arms around his protective boyfriend, "i'm sorry"

"no, no, don't be sorry, ethan" grayson comforted the small boy, holding him tightly to his chest.

he only wanted to protect his boy, but he could never seem to do it, and he felt terrible.

ethan didn't notice though, he loved grayson unconditionally and didn't even notice the boy was constantly trying to protect him.

"just tell me when you can't breathe next time, we will leave together, okay?"

ethan nodded, giving the tanned boy a soft smile before locking their hands together and leaving the building.
