johns POV

i sat in the waiting room,nervously tapping my foot,alex was in the ER,i got no word from how he was and that worried me even more

"John Laurens?" a short woman approached me,i assumed she was a nurse

"yes?" i stood up,towering over her

"im afraid to say Alexander is very low on blood and his chances of making it through this are very low"

my breath hitched and i stepped back,"n-no" i shook my head,begging to cry

"im sorry john" a heavy french accent said from behind me,i turned to see Lafayette standing behind me,i fell into his arms,sobbing

"wh-what am i going to do?" i cried into his arms,

"alexander will make it john,i promise"

"what if he dosent? what if he dies? its all my fault god damnit,its my fault!" i was yelling at this point,my eyes swelled with tears

"may i have a word with the nurse?" lafayette asked,i nodded and he walked off to speak to her

lafayette's POV

"ma'm?" i announced walking behind the nurse that was staged with Alex

she turned around and gave me a warm smile,"yes sir?"

"Alexander? What would his blood type be?" i smoothly asked,prying i could donate

"AB positive" she furrowed her brow,"may i ask why?"

"could we run a blood test for me,i would like to donate" i anxiously bit my bottom lip

"We could,yes,let me set it up and i'll get the doctor" she nodded,walking away

"Oh,also!" i announced,she turned around,"hm?"

"please be careful with alex,hes all john has left" i sighed

"i promise" she halved a smile before walking off

Johns POV

i stood in the waiting room,waiting for lafayette to return from speaking to the nurse

"John!" a deep voice called from behind me,i turned to see Hercules,i halved a smile and walked to him,

"Hey." i shrugged,my hands in my pockets

"how is he?"

"alex? they dont think hes going to hold up," i held back tears,so many damn tears as i said that,"they say his blood is too low"

"Mon ami!" i heard a shout from behind me,i turned around on my heel and saw lafayette smiling

"good news,ill be donating blood to alexander"

i gasped and threw my arms around lafayette

"thank you" i whispered

"no need" he responded
