"What's your beef with that Tierra girl." I sit in the passenger seat of Aug's car trying to process and think on when my best friend started drinking so heavy
"We've known her for a minute now and nothing good ever comes behind her name. Yea we ran the streets when we were younger but Lo's record and my one time in jail belongs to her. She'd get us in trouble then disappear and then will come back and party like animals. I don't know what hold she has on London but I'm not falling for it this time."
We ride out for about an hour. I end up falling asleep. August wakes me up when we arrive to where he was taking me.
"Where are we." He grabs my hand and we start to walk up this hill
"I used to come here a lot to clear my mind or just get away." He lays out the blanket he was carrying and the basket he had in his hand
"What's this?" I say smiling and kicking off my shoes then sitting down
"Our dinner."
"When did you have the time to do all this?"
He laughs
"Mostly while you were in court and the rest while you were sleeping on our way up."
"This is cute Aug. And we got a front row seat to the sunset. It's beautiful"
He lays back and looks at me
"So are you!"
I can't help but blush
"Okay so we've waited all day.. How did court go."
I sigh and lay back with him
"Start counting the days. They gave him a bond and his lawyer told me they'd have him out before the end of the week."
I take a deep breath letting that sink in.
"Ren I know how he was able to get out."
I look up at him
"How?"
He sighs
"Kay pulled strings thru her brother and got him the appeal."
I lay there with a million and one questions running thru my head
"Why the fuck she don't know how to mind her own business."
I'm pissed he would've been gone and I would have no worries but this bitch.
"Ugghh."
I sit up, I put my face in my hands and tears just fall. August sits up to console me
"I don't know what Kay problem is but we're gonna be ok."
I look back at him in his eyes. He seem so sure like he's not even pressed that Jimere will be here sooner than we know
"August how can you be so calm knowing this the last time we going out."
He shurgs
"Because it's not. I don't care if he is getting out I'm not gonna stop seeing you period."
I feel like he doesn't know Jimere
"August, Jimere is not someone you want to play games with..."
"Who said I was gonna be playing any games I'm just letting you know I'm not gonna stop."

"So I'll see you tomorrow night, after me and Ant get back from our run."
"Yea." I say closing his door
"I'll call you when we touch down." He yells out his window right before pulling off. I got to my apartment and pack a simple over night bag. I grab my keys and call Lo just to make sure she still wants me up there.
"I'm on my way girl how you feeling?"
"These damn seizures are killing me but I'm ohk I guess."
