We got to the hospital as fast as we could and found Drew pacing the waiting room. He looked scared to death which in turn made me worried. I gripped Wes's hand tightly as we approached Drew.

"How's she doing?" I asked full of concern.

"They took her back but they won't tell me anything because I'm not family." He said looking pissed that he was out of the loop.

"I'll handle it." I said patting his shoulder as I walked up to the desk. "Excuse me, I need to have an update on Shayla Franks." I said politely to the small woman sitting behind the desk.

    "Are you family?" She asked.

    "I'm her sister." I lied.

She nodded. "She's in room 436 in the ICU because she had a reaction to a bee sting. The doctors have given her a shot to stop the swelling and they put her on oxygen. She seems to be taking well to the treatment and if everything goes well she can be released tonight." She told me.

"Okay thank you. Let me know when I can see her please." I said.

The lady nodded again and I went back to the boys. I told Drew she was going to be okay and he looked somewhat relieved. Then he sighed heavily. "It's all my fault." He said.

"It is not! She should've had that damn pen with her, but she didn't so this isn't your fault at all." I said.

"I just feel like a bad person because I didn't even know she was allergic to bees." He sat down in one of the plushy red chairs.

"Drew don't beat yourself up. It's not something she wanted you to find out like this I'm sure." I said sitting next to him.

"Miss, she can see you now." The lady behind the desk said to me giving me a half smiled.

"Can they come with me?" I gestured to Wes and Drew.

"Only family can go back right now." She said strictly.

Wes nodded his head telling me to go. "We'll wait here." He said.

"Okay, I'll be back." I stood up and followed the lady down the hall.

She led me to the room and Shayla looked over at me and smiled. As was still swollen but she seemed fine. As I got closer I realized I'd never seen her have this bad of a reaction to a bee sting. I mean I've seen her swell up a few times over the years, but never like this.

"Oh my gosh are you okay?" I asked sounding calmer than I was.

    She just nodded.

"Her airway still isn't open enough to talk without it causing pain." The doctor said from the doorway. "You're the sister?" He asked.

"Yes, Brianna." I nodded facing him as he entered the room.

"Well Shayla here got quite lucky this time. Seems she's becoming more allergic to the sting of a bee than ever before. She should carry an emergency bee kit at all times." He said then looked at her chart on the bed. "She's taken well to the treatment we gave her. The swellings reduced and she's breathing better, but we'd like to keep her overnight to just be sure she's alright."

"If that's what you think is best or her." I nodded.

"Well I'll put your name on the allowed visitors list. Is there anyone else?" He asked.

"Drew Chadwick and Wesley Stromberg. They're in the waiting area." I said earning a nod from Shayla.

"Okay. Well visiting hours are only for another hour so hurry along." He smiled. "I'll send the others back for you."

"Thank you sir." I smiled bak.

He left and I smoothed Shayla's hair. It wasn't long before Wes and Drew joined us. Drew sighed in relief when he saw she was okay.

"Shayla don't ever scare me like this again! Why didn't you ever tell me you were allergic to bees like that's something I should've known!" He said waiting for her to answer.

"Drew she can't talk yet. It's got something to do with the swelling." I mumbled.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Shayla." He sighed.

She grabbed his hand and squeezed it. They shared a silent moment and then I looked over at Wes nodding to the door. We stepped out and gave them a minute of privacy. While we were in the hall Wes looked at me and shook his head smiling.

"Why are you so happy! We're in a hospital." I laughed.

"You just always seem so confident. It blows my mind." He laughed.

"I'm glad you think that. I don't feel confident." I said.

"Well the way that you told that lady you were Shayla's sister, I almost believed you." He said.

"I know it was the only way they'd let me see her." I shrugged.

"Yeah, but still." He said. "You just amaze me."

I bit my lip and looked up into his eyes. "I'll amaze you even more once we get home." I said softly so anyone around us couldn't hear.

He glanced around us and then back to me and smirked. "I'll hold you to that."

Sorry I didn't update yesterday. I had a bucket of overdue AP Psych homework and I went to see Divergent... It was amazing btw soo I suggest everyone go see it. It's like about not conforming to society mostly and it's just a great film. Oh, and today I updated so late because I had to go shopping because there was zero food in my house and I can't live like that. Lol but yeah, so this chapter is also not edited so don't be too critical... Other than that thanks for reading, and I love you <3
