My parents decided Melany needs her own room. The whole house pitched in to clean out the attic and move Melany's things in.

Moving her stuff took most of the afternoon, we were all so tired we decided to take a nap then go out for a fancy dinner later that evening.

I slipped on my red sparkly dress and black heels for dinner. I was doing my makeup when Melany walked in.

"What's up Mells?" I said. She was wearing a white dress with black hills. She had her hair curled and had makeup on. "You look great." I told her. She gave me a half smile then said, "Do you think Jason will think I look pretty?" She asked. I nodded my head. "Oh, hey" I said, "you'll be siting next to him in the car." She nodded and walked out of the room. I texted Jason and told him to come here quick.

I heard his footsteps then heard my door open. "What?" He asked. He sounded sleepy. "Be nice to Melany. I said. "Tell her she's pretty and act like your interested in her." I told him. He looked at me. "Fine." he said, "but can I ask you something?" His voice seemed more serious now. "sure." I said

"Have you noticed Melany laughs when someone says the words murder or kill." I looked at him. "No I haven't." I said to him.

It was time for our family to load Into my mothers mini van and drive to the other side of town to the restaurant 'Riverside Elegance' .

I looked back at Jason and Melany. They sat close, she was smiling at him. He slid his arm around her and pulled her closer. I twisted a lock of my curled hair and thought, "He's one hell of an actor." I turned around and put my ear buds back in.

When we got out of the van Jason walked Melany inside. He was still holding onto her. My parents looked at me. I gave them a look signaling I asked him to do it.

When we were seated at our table it was quiet in the restaurant. The waitress set out our wine glasses full of water in front of us.

A few people at the next table were whispering and staring at Melany. They were talking about her parents and aunts deaths. I knew they were. Melany noticed and it looked like she was doing to cry. "Excuse me for a second." she said. She walked towards the bathroom. Mom looked at me. I stood up slowly before Jason stopped me. "I'll go." He said. He walked to the bathroom and went inside.

Jason's P.O.V.

I saw Melany sitting on a bench inside the bathroom. Yes I knew it was a lady's bathroom, but no, I did not care.

I guess you can say I was starting to like Melany back.

"Come on Mells talk to me." I said she looked up at me. A look of surprise on her face. I wasn't sure if it was because I called her Mells or if it was because I was in the lady's room. She remained silent for a while then stood up. I wrapped my arms around her and she looked up at me.

I planted a small kiss on her lips then wiped her tears away. "Come back to dinner everything will be ok baby." I said
