Raven jolted up and looked around. Where was she? Where are her parents? Her breath began to quicken. Where is she? I want my mom... She buried her face in her hands and curled into a ball. She doesn't recognize the place. She just wanted to go home. Her wings covered her body, acting as a shield. Her body began to shake. Her body tense when she heard the door creak open. She prayed that whoever entered the room would just leave. She just wants to disappear.

"Raven? Are you okay?" A voice asked, pulling her out from her thoughts. She felt the bed dip. Someone was sitting next to her. Her breath began to quicken. This was too much. All of this was too much. Her head began to spin. She just wanted her parents. They will keep her safe.

"Where are my parents?" She said, barely above a whisper. She could feel the person tense. She waited for a response, but it never came. The person changed the topic.

"Raven, do you know where you are?" The person asked. Raven really didn't want to answer and wanted to push for information about her parents but it's better if she listens and answers. Her parents liked it when she did that.

She shook her head but realized that the person couldn't see her. "No."

"You're in the Avenger's tower. You were hurt badly but you're safe now."

Lies.

Raven knew she wasn't safe unless she went back into her parents' arms again. She bit the inside of her check, stopping herself from yelling at the person. "My parents, where are they?" She asked again. She prepared herself for what is about to happen. Her wings tensed. She was ready for the person to pull her wings away from her and yell, but it never came. This person was weird.

"You scared us, Raven. You scared me, Raven. When I woke up, you were gone. I was scared. I was supposed to protect you. I'm sorry that you had to go back to them." Something in Raven's screamed in protest. Raven didn't know why. She hasn't met this person before. Has she?

Raven pulled her legs closer to her chest and waited for the person to continue. "You really scared your brothers too, but it isn't your fault." Raven lifted her head. She has brothers. Her parents never told her that. She was told she was an only child. Why would her parents lie to her? Her wings slightly opened. She could see the person sitting on the bed. He wore a white lab coat (like her parents did) and he sat next to her but still gave her space. He looked like he hadn't slept. "Do you want to meet them?"

Did Raven want to meet them? What if they're lying? Mom always said to be careful because the bad guys would lie to separate them but...something in Raven knew this guy wasn't lying. Raven felt like she could trust him. So, Raven went against her parents' warning and nodded to the man.

The man stood up and reached out for Raven. Raven hesitantly reached back. He gently pulled Raven off the bed and cowardly behind him. Something about his warmth felt... right but Raven didn't know why. He led Raven out of the room she was currently in and into a hallway.

Once Raven entered the room, she saw people sitting down around a couch. She flinched when one of the people suddenly stood up. She hid behind the man and felt an arm around her shoulder. Raven couldn't help but feel small. She was surrounded by so many people that she didn't know.

She heard footsteps coming towards her direction. She tightens her grip on the man lab coat. In the corner of her vision saw someone knee in front of her. She slowly picked from behind the man. Raven eyes widen. This man looked like her. His green eyes locked with her green eyes. "Do you remember me?" The man spoke as if she was glass and could be broken at any moment.

Raven felt like she should know who he is. Some part of Raven cried out in cheer and fear. She felt conflicted. She looked around and saw everyone's eyes were on her. They looked familiar. Raven felt frustrated. She should know them. Why can't she remember? Tears started falling onto the ground. She wanted to remember but she couldn't. It was in the front of her mind, but she couldn't remember.
