One

The frustration of multiple things out of place is nothing,
Nothing compared to one thing.

With multiple things, each individual importance lessens.
With one thing, it holds all the importance in the world.

One thing that isn't right.

One belonging that is lost.

One item that isn't where it belongs.

One piece that is missing from a collection.

One grade that differs from the rest.

One percent that could have contributed to that sole grade.

Nothing else to focus on,
But that singular complication.

All it takes is one tiny, possibly insignificant, unique thing
To ruin everything.

***

I just really hate this feeling.
