Farewell

We tend
To each other's feelings, and mend
Each other's broken hearts, to lend
A helping hand, and send
The simple message that we depend
On forever being the other's best friend
Until the very end.

One day, it'll have been ages since I'll have heard you yell
About whatever it is you're trying to sell,
After the final, dreadful ring of your bell,
Hopefully not after years in a cell,
May the afterlife treat you well,
And I hope you don't end up in hell,
But I must leave and say farewell.

No matter what way life goes,
Even if you end up losing your toes,
Just remember to keep your pose
Throughout all your woes,
Because that lucky man who gave you a rose
Doesn't wish for you to end up foes
With any homeless side hoes.

This turned out way darker than it was supposed to be, but I challenged myself, so here is this... thing I call a "poem".
