No Note

Rain dances,
Sun shines,
Snow flakes,
Leaves fall.

Seasons pass,
And all that changes
Is the weather.

Yet it still follows
A predictable pattern,
So that we are never caught off guard.

Then all of a sudden,
With a whisper of the wind,
Everything is gone.

Rain torrents around us,
Sun is covered by clouds,
Snow is a soft heaven nowhere in sight,
Leaves are tossed in the air.

And in this storm of thunder and fears,
Where precipitation pounds and lightning leers,
I'm left with not even a sympathy letter,
Explaining your disappearance.

Without a message to indicate a final farewell,
I'm forced to feel abandoned
And utterly worthless,
As my emotions are what I try to quell.

No note,
Saying anything
That you wrote,
Even something as simple
As three short words.

I'll miss you.

This is inspired by two people I love:
One who's a friend,
And one who I wish could be more.

Oh, and I went for a long ass walk yesterday in flip-flops, lost feeling in my toes, and Dr. Web MD told me I have diabetes.
Seems legit.
