Selena's POV:

I watched as my mom's mouth dropped and her eyes widened while my dad was choking on his water.

"What?" My dad coughed, patting his chest.

"You heard me."

My mom closed her mouth, only to allow her lips to curve into a smile. I swallowed my pride right then once I realized just how stupid I was, I just told them that I wanted to meet up with Chase, to get to 'know' him.

Yeah, right.

I just wanted to meet up with him just to let Justin know that I'm not a liar.

"I knew that you'd soon warm up to him." My mom gushed, "I just knew it."

I forced a strained smile onto my lips; hopefully it looked real enough to make my mom believe that I genuinely wanted to meet him. My dad on the other hand, well, he was sitting across from me with his arms crossed over his chest, staring at me with knowing eyes. He knows me well enough to know when I'm lying, we actually used to be close before all of this wedding shit happened.

"Yeah, you're right, as usual." I mumbled.

"Oh, I'll call his parents now and arrange something." My mom smiled, talking as if I was a four year old wanting my friend from school to come over and play.

She hurried out of the kitchen, closing the door behind her. As soon as the door closed my dad leaned over the table.

"What's really going on Selena?" He asked.

I put a smile on my face and stood up, "Like I said, I want to get the chance to know my fiancè."

He sighed and shook his head sitting back in his chair. I smirked and walked out of the kitchen just as my mom hung up the phone. She turned to me and smiled.

"He'll pick you up at eight."

"Awesome." I murmured as I made my way upstairs.

The doorbell rang and I resisted the urge to sigh as I stood up from the couch with my mom and dad, my mom looked me up and down and smiled in approval. I ignored her and made my way into the hallway and opened the door. Chase was standing there wearing a plain white shirt and some black trousers, his hair held down with gel.

He looked me up and down and smiled.

"Hello Selena." He smiled and looked behind me and my parents and nodded.

"Hi Chase." I replied and stepped out of the house.

"Have fun!" My mom cooed as Chase took my hand in his and walked me to his car.

His hand was soft but it just didn't feel right. It had nothing on how Justin's hand felt when he held my hand. He wasn't Justin, that's for sure.

"So..." I said awkwardly, "Where are we going?"

Chase glanced at me quickly before putting his eyes back on the road.

"Well... It's our first date so.. Ladies choice."

First date. I resisted the urge to scoff. Instead I just smiled, remembering where Justin always hung out on Friday nights.

"Hmm, I actually want to go to this bar..It's just down here." I smirked.

He glanced at me in disapproval but nodded. I chewed on my bottom lip and sat back in my seat, smiling to myself.

Eventually Chase pulled up outside off the bar, just as I had planned Justin was leaning against the wall, smoking a cigarette with another boy standing beside him. Chase stopped the car and was about to get out when I stopped him. He turned and looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

I quickly put my hands on his hair and spiked it up. His eyes widened.

"Trust me, I just saved your life." I mumbled.

He shrugged and got out of the car. I kept my eyes on Justin as he glanced at Chase a smirked, probably because of his clothing. Chase opened the door for me and helped me out of the car. I gave him a genuine smile, hey manners go a long way with me.

He held on to my hand as he shut the door. I looked at him, he didn't look half bad with his hair spiked up.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"No problem." He replied and walked me into the bar.

I glanced at Justin, his smile faded quickly when he saw me walking hand in hand with Chase. He stared me down as we walked by. Chase noticed and gave him a weird look.

"What the hell are you looking at?" Justin growled as he stared at Chase.

"Just wondering why you're looking at my girl." Chase replied casually.

"Your girl." Justin asked, glancing at me.

"Yes, my girl." Chase replied, "Now if you don't mind, we're here to have a good time, not to waste our time with you."

Chase pulled me inside, leaving Justin standing there in disbelief.

Amazing.
