Selena's POV:

I walked downstairs with my suitcase and carrier bag, filled with everything that I need. Justin was waiting outside in his friend's car, since he didn't have one of his own. He only owned a Harley Cruiser. Don't get me wrong, it's a true beauty but not the ideal thing to go across the country on.
My mom had barely said two words to me since that day when she was screaming at me. I didn't see that as a bad thing, at least she left me alone.

I dropped my bags beside the front door and walked towards the living room and poked my head into the room. My mom was sitting on the armchair in the corner of the room, staring blankly at the TV as she finely filed her nails while I dad slouched on the couch watching TV with his arms crossed over his chest.

My dad looked at me while my mom just glanced at me then turned her attention back to the TV.

"Just thought I'd let you guys know that I'll be at my friend's house for a while."

My dad frowned and my mom smirked in relief.

"What? Why?" My dad asked, sitting up straight.

"I have to get away from some people." I replied, directing that at my mom.

My dad looked at my mom and sighed, "For how long?"

"Two weeks."

Me and Justin had both decided that two weeks was long enough to be away from our hometown.

My dad looked shocked and turned his head back to my mom.

"You see what you do?" He growled.

My mom looked away from the TV and gave him a blank look.

"I'm not forcing her out the door." She replied.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, "Love ya dad.. Mom.. Rot in hell."

I closed the living room door and grabbed my bags before walking out of the house. Justin was sitting in an Audi outside of my house, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel patiently waiting for me. He glanced my way and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back as I dumped my bags in the trunk and got into the passenger's seat. Justin leaned over in his seat and pressed his lips to mine, keeping them there for a few minutes.
I pulled back for air and blushed slightly. Justin chuckled as he started the car.

"How'd your parents take it?" He asked as he drove down the street.

I shrugged, "I guess my dad was shocked and my mom well.. She didn't give a fuck."

"I'm sorry." He sighed.

I smiled and shook my head, "It's not your fault. Don't worry about it."
