Chapter 44

Cry POV

She lays a kiss on my cheek as we arrive to an abandoned log cabin. The wood showing the early stages of decomposition, the windows covered with ripped curtains, but the air still smelled of lake, and grass, and Y/N.

Taking her hand I shut the door behind her.

"What is this place?" She asks.

"This is my home away from home. My family and I used to take trips here every summer-" I begin to walk her towards the cabin.

"-we'd laugh, and sing songs, and just be a normal, happy, loving family while we were here. My brother and I would climb those rocks and pretend like we were pirates, while my mom and my sister prepared dinner, or while my mother sewed and my sister was my captive."

I sigh. Y/N wraps her arm around mine, and smiles up at me. I stop walking and sit down on a log, infront of the old fire pit, and beside the dock. She sits down next to me.

"Here, my uncle, grandpa, everyone would gather here. We'd talk far into the night, just about stupid stuff mostly. One time my uncle and I dressed up as bears and scared the living hell out of my mother. Ive never run so hard in my life." I chuckle to myself.

"You sounded like a happy family." She says.

"We were, but only while we were here. My dad, he wasnt the best person, hed beat us, but while we were here, he was a different man. He acted as if he really loved me. Loved us. He actually kissed my mom here, at that point he hadnt done that in months. We were a REAL family here." I get up and walk out to the dock. I stare out over the calm, quiet lake, the water reflects the moon, and the stars perfectly. I light the torch at the beginning of the dock and at the end of the dock and hang my legs over the side. Kicking water around, like how i used to do as a kid.

Y/N sits down beside me and I look into her eyes, and smile. She is so beautiful. She smiles back and I kiss her softly on the lips, gently setting a hand on her cheek and another on her waist. She kisses me back, but separates our kiss by splashing me in the face with water.

"Hey!" I yell, she jumps up and tries to run away but I grab her and jump into the water with her in my arms. The water isnt very deep near the dock, up to my waist, and up to her boobs. She smiles.

"Are you looking at my boobs?" She asks. I blush massively and I dive under the water.
