Chapter 47

Cry POV

After she fell asleep, I got up, slowly and quietly, and prepared the car for the trip back. I packed up our bags, took the clothes off the line and put the embers out. Walking to the end of the dock I looked across the water and remembered a different time...a time without her. And tried to think of a future without her...I couldn't. She is my future. 

Picking Y/N up I began walking to the car. 

"Don't...leave...me...Ryan." She said dreamily. I looked down at her. She was still asleep.

"I wont. Never again." I whispered.

I set her in the back seat of the car, which was already turned on. I strapped her in, which wasn't easy, kissed her head and then shut the door. I hopped in the drivers seat, shut the door and put the car in drive. I put the radio on, but kept the volume low.

"Ryan...Stop...Please." She said. I looked back at her, using the rear view mirror, because it would be dangerous otherwise. Tears streamed down her face. I felt a sharp pain in my heart and frowned.  I reached back and grabbed her hand. 

"Shhhhhh its okay, Beautiful. There's no need to cry. I will never leave you, or hurt you ever again." 

The sun was barely viable when I got back. I texted Nick and asked him to come help me get her inside. He said okay and was down in less than 5 minutes. 

"Did you two do it?" He asked as I got out of the car.

"Do it? What are we in 7th grade? No we didn't have sex." I laughed.

"What? Why not?"

"Because I didn't want to hurt her, and I don't think now is the right time for that." He hesitated before responding, a sheepish grin formed across his face.

"You didn't bring a condom did you." 

"Oh my god. No I didn't bring a condom that's why I didn't." I laughed and hit him on the shoulder.

"Well just asking. I mean, don't kill me when I say this but I would. She's hot as heck."

"I know that."

"You scored big time."

"Yeah, I know that too. She's perfect." I said, opening the door to the back seat. I unbuckled her and picked her up.

"Dude why did you call me down her again?"

"I got her out, now I need your help getting her in."

"That's what she said."

"Dude shut up." I said laughing. 

"Alright lets go." he said. We entered the hospital and quickly made our way to the elevator. It was surprisingly empty. After going up to the floor we were supposed to be on Nick stuck his head out of the side of the elevator and looked around.

"Its all clear." he said. I quickly went back to her room and set her back into her bed and kissed her forehead. 

"You'll wake up soon, and when you do, I'll still be here. Forever with you." I said quietly.

"EW!" Nick whispered. I smiled and grabbed one of her spare pillows and chucked it at him.
