" Negina! Passa, gharma shwa!" (Negina! Get up, it's noon!) Negina's mother yells for her to awake. Groaning, Negina flips over on her side.

"Mom, it's probably not even 9 yet," She calls back from her bed. But still knowing that her mom needs her to help with the mehmani, otherwise known as a party. Negina starts to shower and gets dressed in a orange t-shirt with dark blue skinny jeans. Braiding her hair in two French braids and adding a small necklace to her outfit, she walks down to the kitchen where she hears the oil sizzling in her mothers cooking for the mehmani, translated to a party.

"Sahar pakhair mama." (Good morning) She says giving her mom a kiss on her cheek. Negina's mom hands her the spatula and tells her to fry the onions.

"What now?" Negina asks as the onions turn a light brown color.

"Ya Allah! Tasara ba mere de sa kayi?" (Oh god! What will your husband do with you?) Negina's mother scowls angrily pouring the spices and diced tomatoes into the pot.

"Eh mom, I don't plan on getting married." Negina says letting out a sigh of relief and leaning on the counter for support.

"Da khor de ham dagha se da! Che wada shwa sama shwa!" (Your sister is just like you! Once she got married she learned it all!) Her mom says stirring the ingredients in the pot next to the one Negina just fried the onions in.

"Yep. You got Madina married. Leave me alone." She says popping a price of cut cucumber in her mouth. Her mom hands her a list of groceries. Negina hollers for her dad and they both head out for the store.

"We need...the salad dressing it's in those aisles, I'll go get it. You get the rest of the things." Negina suggests handing her Dad the list. It's true that Negina hates grocery shopping. In fact she hates everything related to housework, and that includes; cooking and cleaning.

Walking lazily to the aisle at the other end of the store, looking through all the dressings and making sure to get the best one which takes her more than 10 minutes. Abruptly turning around she bumps into someone. Finding herself on the floor, Negina grunts in pain as to reaching over for the dressing that's now on the dirty floor.

"Im sorry." Negina says thinking that it's her fault while attempting to dust off her jeans. A hand is held out to her and Negina stands up without the need of help.

"Already forgot about me?" The man says pouting his lip. Negina finally looks up seeing her brother, Naser, who left to study abroad in England a year ago. Taken by surprise Negina stares for a few moments.

"Naser?!"

"Don't you remember your big bro?" Naser laughs hysterically pulling Negina and hugging her tightly as if he'd seen a long lost friend for the first time. Negina is not really his little sister. Only younger than him by a nine months. Even being born on the same day. Some people even referred to them as twins.

"I thought you have another half a year left. Why are you here." Negina asks with a smile brighter than the sun.

"You don't know?" Naser asks surprised to death that Negina doesn't know the news.

"What do you mean?" Negina ask just as confused as her brother.

"Mom called me a couple months ago and asked me if there's a way to finish my studies early, so I could come home." Naser says slowly.
