Chapter: 12
First StepI stared at the brother in new light of curiosity. If it wasn't for the underlying personality quirks; for example the smirk, no one could convince me that the two guys in front of me were actually brothers.
Allow me to elaborate; while Adam was dark-haired, Damian had dirty blond hair. Adam had the eye colour that always contradicted between blue and grey, where as Damian had eyes somewhere between golden brown and hazel, Adam's skin tone was light and pale, but with a golden dusting that, might I begrudgingly add, made him all the more appealing. His brother, on the other hand, was milky white. The only thing that could possibly relate them was their height and lean muscular structure, which I was sure would be a sight to look at had they not been wearing any shirts, Okay... I need to shut up.
Shut up, brain!
"Say what?" I couldn't help but blurt out. The silence beside me was enough to convince me that my best friends had the same thoughts running through their heads as mine.
"He's my brother," Adam smirked.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Oh, he's sure. We're as brothers as it gets," Damian replied in his deep voice as he smirked, his arm still slung over Adam's shoulder.
Again, their smirks had an uncanny similarity. I raised my eyebrows even more than they already were. "Oh."
"I believe you're the new guy the whole school's gone mad about?" Sabrina asked as she folded her arms and looked on at the two brothers in front of us.
"I try to keep it low-key, I hate mad crowds, you know," Damian removed his arm from around his brother and stepped to the side. He elbowed his brother, quirking an eyebrow at him, "You still haven't introduced your friends."
Adam rubbed the back of his neck with one hand, "I only know Ray, Ray Ashton." He looked at me and gave a short quirk of lips, "We're friends. I know Amelia too. We've had an interesting conversation once when I drove her to her home." He glanced at Em with a smirk, "She worships you, Ashton. Have I ever told you that?" He looked at me.
I turned to look at Em, "Yeah?"
"Shut up," mumbled my friend.
I shook my head, chuckling. I slightly inclined forward to look over at Sabrina who stood beside Em, smiling at her I introduced her to the Kingston brothers, "This is Sabrina. The most sensible out of our trio."
"Nice to meet you," Sabrina grinned at the two. "And she's absolutely right. I'm the mother hen. These two are disastrous if left unsupervised." She glanced at me, "Particularly her."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I glanced at my watch, "As interesting the introductions have been, I don't think the geography professor will care whether you're new or not if you're not on time in his class," I gave Damian a cheeky smile
"Or pretty," commented Sabrina.
Damian blinked at Sabrina with a raised brow, "Pretty? I think the word you're looking for is handsome."
Sabrina chuckled, "Sure, whatever floats your boat." She started walking away, "If you don't want to be late, I suggest you follow me."
Damian clapped his brother's back, "See you, kid."
Adam rolled his eyes, "Get over yourself."
With that, Damian walked after Sabrina. I frowned as I looked to the side only to find Em fidgeting with her hands and looking deep in thoughts, "Yo, Em?"
