So, I had a sleepover with my friends LELE904 and Shyanna and we started talking about feminism and feminists. I have been thinking and I think I want to be a feminist. Now, I know feminists often get a lot of hate, but I don't care as long as I'm getting my point across to someone.
I also want to explain the point of feminists. The point of being a feminist is not to try to turn people against the male gender, but to try to explain that women are important and should be treated equal to men. Many people take a feminists words and try to twist them around to make them sound like they hate men. That's not the way it's supposed to be. Feminists are trying to gain equal rights for women, not turn the male gender against them. I just want to make that clear.
Another reason I've thought about being a feminist is because I read Girl Problems by Divergentwizards_ and it inspired me. Emma Watson is also a feminist and she inspires me as well. Divergentwizards_ brings Emma Watson into her feminist conversations and is also trying to explain how girls feel and that we deserve to be treated equally.
So, no hate if I become a feminist, I just want equal rights for women like all the other feminists.
