Chapter 12 Jaynaria

The crowd went wild when they saw me.

It was amazing. This kind and amount of attention, I wasn't use to. It made me extremely uncomfortable. Really uncomfortable.

What didn't help was the fact Capital Knights, loyal to Varian, were part of the crowd. They all were watching as Zurich escorted me to the stage, decorated with the colors of flames.

Mother stood there, a proud smile lighting up her features.

I felt an answering smile tug at my lips.

Zurich lean towards me. "Lighten up Ria. You are the star. So stop being grave and stun them all." He winked.

I broke out into a huge grin.

Zurich chuckled. "There we go. Now there is that beautiful young lady I know."

We walked up the steps to where the Mayor and Mother stood.

Mother drew me into a embrace.

"I am so proud of you, Jay." She whispered.

"Thank you. I love you Mother." I whispered back.

We drew out of the embrace and I turn to the Mayor.

"Jaynaria Marianne Futhir, are you ready and prepared?"

I took a deep breath. "Yes, I am." I said in a strong voice.

He guided to a table with a bundled. The Mayor unwrapped it, revealing the sword and orb. The Sword of Quari and the Orb of Uanes.

They were supposedly ancient relics entrusted to the village.

"Place your hand on the relics and repeat the path after me." Commanded the Mayor.

After I finished the oath I was accepted as an adult into the community.

People congratulated me, hugging me and shaking my hand, some even had tears in their eyes. The line was almost completely gone after an hour.

I sigh, preparing for the next person in line. I looked up into the most handsome blue ryes I had ever seen.

He had a strong jaw line and messy blonde hair.

"Congratulations. I hope you enjoy your birthday." He spoke with a rich baritone.

"Thank you." I replied.

He smiled and brought my hand to his lips, where he brush the softest kiss upon it.

"Good day, and may the stars guide your path to happiness and peace." He murmured.

Upon releasing my hand. He turn and walked off.

I noticed he was part the Capital Knights, and one of the younger men there.

I shook my head, scattering all thoughts of this young man out of my head as I turn to my next guest.
