Chapter 18 Jaynaria
I was sitting in the garden outside my home, humming a soft tune when I heard someone clear their throat. I turned around.
The young man who had kissed my hand, the young member of the Capital Knights was standing there.
"You have a lovely voice to match your beauty."
I blushed, fighting the butterflies in my stomach. "Thank you..." I trailed off, inviting his name.
"Gareth. And I already know your name, Jaynaria."
I glowered at the ground. Damn celebration. I wanted to introduce myself. I looked up to Gareth's amused gaze.
He smiled and walked to the small pool of water in the garden. He cupped a handful of water and closed his eyes.
Before my eyes the water formed into a gorgeous pale blue, very real, rose.
"A beautiful thing for a pretty lady."
"You can shaped water?"
"A minor water gift. Excuse me, I need to head back to my company. I have some things that need to be finish. Good day, Jaynaria."
Gareth handed the rose to me and turned to walk off.
I watched until I could no longer see him.
I closed my eyes and took in the scent of the rose, marveling at the man who had so easily stolen my heart, Gareth.
