Vincent woke up on the sofa just hours after falling asleep. The sun was rising and the temperature remained as cold as ever.
"Six? Dang, it..." Vincent groaned as he checked his phone.
WPO soldiers walked into the castle through the back from the HQ outback.
"Um, good morning?" Vincent politely greeted as he tried his best not to yawn.
"Where is the queen?" The head soldier asked very loudly, waking Taurus up.
"I'm here. I asked you not to stay up all night examining the attack." Rosalia scolded as she walked downstairs.
"We would like for you to meet us in the conference room in the headquarters your highness." The head soldier asked as he and the other two bowed.
"Of course, just let me freshen up. Vincent, do you mind waking your sister up." Rosalia demanded, not even sounding like she asked Vincent.
"And the others?" Vincent asked.
"I suppose. We could use the help for whatever happens... Wake them up as well." Rosalia said as she walked back upstairs.
It was easy to tell that Rosalia had been crying as her mascara left arks down her face.
Taurus went on ahead and woke everyone else up as Vincent sneakily walked into his bedroom where Mai and Ezra were sleeping.
"What's wrong? Finally coming to sleep with us?" Mai asked with her eyes still shut. She opened her arm and made space for Vincent to lie down.
"Actually, the WPO found something and we need you," Vincent explained as he sat down where Mai gestured.
"I'm not the conscript," Mai said in the midst of a yawn.
"But the rest of the conscript isn't here. We need all the help we can get." Vincent explained as Mai sat up.
"I'll be down in a minute," Mai said as she sat up and stretched.
"We'll be in the headquarters in one of the conference rooms," Vincent explained as he walked away.
- Conference room A2, Second floor. 7:30 a.m. -
The remaining conscript, Ashton, Panthena, Annabelle, Rosalia, and two of the main WPO Commanders sat in the conference room with coffee and bagels.
A large whiteboard was placed at one end of the table where the commanders sat. Rosalia sat at the other end of the table next to the remaining conscript members.
"Where is Mai..." Mizore whispered to Vincent.
"She's on her way. Don't worry." Vincent responded, also whispering.
Mai walked in just moments later and the meeting had finally started.
"Good morning everyone. We have called you here today to discuss last night's terrorist attack on our home town of Crescent City. As of right now, WPO officers and soldiers are out on duty repairing the broken homes and lives of the civilians." The first commander explained as the whiteboard turned into a digital board.
The commanders began swiping and typing in things.
"This is what we studied and examined, leading us to today's meeting." The second commander said as a picture of a destroyed helmet appeared on the large screen.
"This helmet belongs to a soldier of the Incendium Army. It s unclear as to what their motives are, but we do have the basic information." The second commander continued.
