Vincent watched Ezra sleep peacefully in his own room.
"Sleep well, my prince," Vincent said as he tucked Ezra in with a throw blanket.
"He'll be up earlier than expected tomorrow, you know that right?" Taurus explained as he watched from outside the bedroom.
"He's aging fast, Taurus. Let him sleep," Vincent said quickly in response to Taurus, turning his upper body to face his brother and give him a tired look.
Taurus shrugged his shoulders and smirked at Vincent.
The sun was hidden by the September clouds as it set in the West of Crescent City.
"Mizore is going to the clocktower, want to come?" Taurus asked, breaking the few seconds of silence.
"I'll be there shortly," Vincent explained as he continued to watch Ezra sleep.
Eventually, Taurus, Mizore, and Vincent met up at Clover Cafe.
Mizore sat alone with her feet dangling off the edge of the clocktower, watching the clouds move across the sky as the sun slowly fell.
Taurus entered the area and sat next to his younger sister.
He kept his right leg lifted to rest his right arm on it as he sat. Taurus's comfort matters.
"I ran into an old friend from high school today... She wished I still went to public school," Mizore explained.
Taurus slowly turned his head and frowned at Mizore.
"...And I'm guessing you share that wish?" Taurus asked.
Vincent quietly sat on the other side of Mizore to keep her in the center.
"It's what her wish represents... I know all we do is complain about how much our lives have changed... but think about this in retrospect. We've lost graduation, prom, going out, and the last years of our teenage lives... just to fight against our family," Mizore cried as she curled up into a ball.
"We grew up fast... what can we do about it? You have to stop trying to change the past and move on..." Vincent tried to explain.
"I think what she's trying to say is that we didn't just grow up too fast, we became different people... Entirely different people," Taurus explained, emphasizing "entirely" in his words.
Vincent looked downwards to the people of the city as they carried on with their lives.
"It hurts because none of us asked for this... Do you think the other Conscript was like this?" Vincent asked.
Taurus's head quickly shot up at Vincent's words.
"That's it! We could reach out to the old Conscript and ask for advice!" Taurus exclaimed.
"Our situation is way more intense than just becoming warriors... we're up against our family and the people of the country," Mizore explained, countering Taurus's idea.
Taurus let out a deep sigh and relaxed a little bit.
"You're right..."
Vincent thought about Rosalia's explanation. The implementation of Chaos and Emergence.
"I think we were chosen for a much greater reason," Vincent began to explain, almost exposing Rosalia for only what he knew.
"Don't start with your everything happens for a reason bullshit, Vincent," Taurus mocked Vincent.
Mizore smirked at the joke, cheering up a little bit.
"How is Ezra? Still asleep?" Mizore asked.
