"We've been on the road a lot, haven't we..." Vincent complained, making a turn onto a ramp to exit the highway.
"We've been traveling to Mai's village for a couple of hours now Vincent. Let's please make a quick stop." Ashton complained.
"There is nowhere to go. It's the same as before we got on the highway. Nothing but a long road surrounded by trees..." Vincent explained, realizing that the tank was also almost empty.
"How do we not have gas? We fueled up a few days ago." Mai mentioned, ignoring Ashton's complaint.
"The heater has been on, and even though this is a big SUV, the gas runs quick..." Vincent explained.
"Well, we have to pull over somewhere. Where are we?" Panthena asked before yawning and stretching.
"The GPS says we're in Nebula. Isn't that where the massive town with bridges everywhere?" Mai explained and asked.
"Yup! I hear it's pretty at night." Vincent explained, driving into the town.
"Can we please stay the night? We all need to charge our phones and I really want to sleep in a bed." Mizore complained.
"I second that!" Ashton exclaimed from the back.
"I guess... sleeping on a bed does sound nice," Vincent said as he pulled into the nearest hotel.
"You guys check-in and get some rooms while I go get gas," Vincent said, dropping everyone off at the front of the hotel.
"Hotel Rivera. Sounds comfortable." Mizore said as everyone walked into the lobby.
"There is no indication of comfort in the name Mizore..." Ashton joked.
"The 'hotel' part is what comforts me," Mizore responded.
"Allow me to check us in, just wait here," Taurus said as he put his bags down and took out his wallet to count his money.
"You'll pay for it? Let us all even it out." Mai explained.
"No worries, I got it. It's the cash I got from a hunt I did with Axel." Taurus explained.
"Are you sure?" Mizore asked looking for her wallet in one of her bags.
"I got it," Taurus said as he began to walk away.
"Such a gentleman," Panthena said as she watched Taurus walk away with a cheeky smile.
Ashton sat on the sofa next to the large open windows, allowing the soft and cool breeze to enter the building.
"Today feel's really nice. The sun is out, it's not too cold... just how I like it." Ashton said as he leaned on the windowsill.
"You're totally right... I wonder what is going on back home. I hope everyone is doing fine over there.
Meanwhile, at the desk...
"Good evening, the five of us will be staying in two rooms with two double beds, including one other person that will be here shortly. We will most likely be staying here for one night." Taurus explained.
"You have until three p.m. tomorrow. That will be six hundred dollars forty-three cents." The person working at the desk asked.
"Pretty expensive for one night don't you think?" Taurus asked, trying to make it comfortable to lower the price.
The clerk gave him a weird stare and rolled his eyes.
"Are you trying to have sex with me?!" The clerk yelled.
Mai looked back in shock as to what she heard.
"Oh no sir, I just think it's expensive for one night. I have money but..." Taurus said as he slid the desk clerk the money.
