Chapter Twenty: School Dance (Part Two)

Brian's POV

We were in the car. Me and Sophie are still stiffen when my mom called us "Lovebirds". Great. Thanks for the awkwardness. Well, we are still waiting until we reached the school.

After a few minutes of awkwardness, we arrived at school. The place was very colourful. To think, I'm going to a school dance for the first time. I went out of the car. "Alright, see you later this 11!" Said my mother. "Ok, see you later." I said. The car drove off. Well it's just me and Sophie.

"Well, shall we get going?" I asked. She nodded. Then we walked in the hall. My gosh, it's beautiful! No words can describe the beautifulness of this place. So nice, and romantic? Well, that's kinda the point of dances anyway right? "Shall we start dancing or we eat first?" I asked. She looked down. "Let's eat first. I'm hungry." She said while pouting. Heh, cute.

We walked to the buffet stand. There was a variety of food, from appetisers to main course and to desserts. Then, Sophie took her plate and choose the food she wanted to eat. As for me, I can't even eat, I'm so nervous that I have no appetite for eating. So, I took a punch and then sat next to Sophie.

She looked at me all confused. "Yes?" I said, concerned. "Why the no food?" She asked. "Well, I have no appetite for eating." I said. "What?" She said, all confused. "Or maybe you don't have the motivation to eat?" She asked. I was shocked. "Maybe?" I said, shrugging. She took some of her portion of her food, put it all on one scoop. "Wait what are you doing?" I asked. She put the spoon near to my mouth. "Well, open up." She said. "Wait, are you feeding me?" I asked. "Well? What does it looked like?" She asked. I blushed. "Meh, why not?" I said, opening up my mouth.

Once the spoon went inside my mouth. I realised, that the spoon was hers and she was using it. Which means, we are indirectly kissing?! "Delicious?" She asked. Suddenly, I got my appetite back. That's odd. I nodded. "Yep!" I said happily. I can't believe it. She was feeding me, which leads to indirectly kissing. Then she continued to eat with the same spoon.

Then I saw Dameron came to the table. "Hey dude, what's up?" He asked. "Hey, all good." I replied. "So, Sophie is feeding you huh?" He said. I was shocked and blushing at the same time and so was Sophie. "Yeah.." I said, all embarrassed. "So, where is your Date?" I asked. He then point to the direction of where the punch was. That must have been his Date. Wait, is that. "Amanda?" I said out loud. "Yep, she is my GF." He said. Wow, Amanda was his GF?! "How come you never told me?" I asked. "Wait? You don't know?" Sophie said. "Nope, never knew." I replied.

"Well, that's good for you man!" I said. Wow, even my friend got a GF. "Well, it's not as good as yours man." He said. "Wait, mine?" I said, all confused. Then I realised. "Hey! I don't have one." I said, all blushing. I looked at Sophie. She was upset. But why? Why was she upset? "Well, I'm gonna go dance. Come Sophie." I asked Sophie. She looked at me giving me a smile. I can tell that's a fake smile.

I got up and so was Sophie. We walked to the dance floor and started to slow dance. I put my right hand on her waist and she put her hand on my shoulder. My other hand intertwined with her other hand causing me to blush and she was blushing. I can tell. Then we started to dance. It felt all magical. Her eyes in my eyes, her hands intertwin with mine. The perfect moment. Then, I noticed that everyone was looking at me. I got no idea why but meh, let it go.

"Wanna show them what we can do?" I asked. She nodded and then we started to dance a little faster and more with passion. The crowd was impressed and started to clap. Then I twirl her and dip her, causing our faces to be near to each other. We panted, exhausted from dancing, still in our dipping form. "Wow, you dance gracefully." I said, looking in her eyes. Our eyes, lips and face are near. "Kiss her!" Shouted one of the crowd. Then I was shocked. I blushed, and she, too was blushing.

Then I heard a noise. That sounded like a gunshot. Suddenly the hall door exploded causing some to scream in fear...

Sophie's Pov

Our faces was near, so near. Then, I heard a gunshot. There was no mistaking that was a gunshot. We stood up straight, getting out of dipping form. Then, the hall door exploded causing some to scream in fear. Smoke was everywhere due to the explosion. Five men came in, all wearing body armour. It's not the army nor the FBI, it's like a robber. They walk in. Then one of them shoot the ceiling causing the people to be silent.

"Hello everyone." Said the leader. I can tell. "Sorry to interrupt the evening. I have something I want here." He said as he walked around, finding the person he wanted. "Where is Sophie Hayden?" He asked. Where have I heard it before? Why does he wanted with me? This sound is, so familiar. Suddenly someone grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the crowd. It was Brian. "It's not safe here." He whispered.

He pulled me in a room. "Do you know who they were?" I asked. "No. Just stay here." He said, pushing me to go under the table. I followed his orders. Then he went out of the door. I grabbed his hand. "Wait! What are you doing?" I asked. Had he gone insane? "Stopping this once and for all." He said. "What?" I asked, all confused...
