One o' clock. How had I slept in for so long? My head was pounding and my mouth was dry but I managed to climb out of bed without too much of a fight. Last night was a complete blur but I was almost 100% sure I had been wasted.

"Ahh you're awake" my dad smiled as I opened up my bedroom door. How long had he been waiting there? "We need a chat"

"Not now dad. I feel like shit" I sighed, holding my head and pushing past him to get to the bathroom. I could hear him following after me, he wasn't going to leave it at that, he never did.

"Of course you do, you were in an absolute state last night Autumn! You should be ashamed of yourself"

"I am"

"Good. Luckily for you a kind young man brought you home in one piece but anything could have happened to you and it's obvious you're not mature enough to go out to these kind of parties yet"

"Wait, what? Who brought me home?"

"He said his name was Michael. I'm not concerned about that right now, Autumn. I've taken your car keys and your phone, you know our deal"

"What? How am I supposed to get to college? This is bullshit!" I snapped, folding my arms like a spoiled brat. I was so used to getting my own way with dad so on the rare occassion he decided to use some discipline against me I didn't handle it very well.

"You can walk or take the bus. I don't care."

"When do I get them back?"

"When I say so" Dad smirked at me and then turned and walked off down the stairs leaving me to be angry alone.

"Babe what happened with you and Luke last night?" Courtney asked, barging into my room and jumping down onto the bed beside me. I loved Courtney like a sister, we had been best friends for over seven years now but she was the last person I wanted to see with a headache like this.

"I don't know... Nothing I think" I replied, keeping my head buried into the pillow.

"Well he is telling everyone that you were practically all over him and when he turned you down you punched him! He's got a black eye, Autumn! What did you do?"

I sat up and frowned, surely that couldn't be true? Why would I do something like that? No, he was clearly spreading lies about me and as hard as I tried to remember what actually happened I couldn't quite put the pieces of it together.

"I don't know, Court but I know I didn't punch him. I don't even remember being alone with him nevermind all over him!" I insisted.

"Well that's what he is saying and a couple of people have said they saw you going into his bedroom with him"

"Oh god. I can't deal with this right now. I feel like shit and I can't be bothered with dumbass rumours... I'll speak to Luke tomorrow" I put my head back into my pillow and let out a scream. I was never fucking drinking again.

"Should I go and get us a McDonald's?"

Oh how I loved this girl.

Thursday morning came round far too quickly for my liking. I hadn't slept much because all I could think about was those stupid rumours about me and Luke. I threw on my old pair of skinny jeans and my favourite maroon sweater and set off on my walk to college. I was still feeling delicate from the party so I set off ten minutes early to give myself chance to make it on time. It was a cloudy day but hopefully the rain would hold off for a little while; I grabbed my bag from the hallway and left the house, still annoyed that I had to walk. I didn't get very far when a familiar looking cream car pulled up at the side of me.

"Oh so you're alive then" came a deep voice from inside. I leaned down and stared in through the window to see the same green eyed boy that had been at the party. I rolled my eyes at him and carried on walking, I wasn't in the mood for this guy. He crawled alongside me with his car and I stopped, staring over at him.

"What do you want?" I snapped.

"Charming. Was going to offer you a lift" the boy shrugged, pulling his dark glasses down onto his face.

"No thank you" There wasn't a chance I was getting into a car with that jackass, I didn't even know his name and nor did I want to. I carried on walking, this time a little bit faster in the hopes he would just drive away but he didn't. The first drop of rain splashed against my nose and within seconds it was pouring it down, soaking through my sweater. The boy leaned across and opened the passenger door, "How about now?" he asked, chuckling to himself.

"Fine" I sighed, shuffling into the seat and pushing my hair out of my face.

"Michael"

"What?"

"That's my name" he stated, finally driving at a normal speed. Was he the boy who had brought me home the other night? I wanted to ask him but for some reason I felt as though I couldn't. I had built up this wall around him, I didn't trust him in the slightest and I wasn't sure why.

"Luke's a prick"

"Huh?" I was confused by his sudden outburst.

"After what he did to you the other night"

"Wait, what did he do?"

"Shit, how much did you drink?" Michael frowned, pulling his sunglasses back on top of his head and staring across at me.

"I don't know" I shrugged, feeling a little bit embarrassed. "I'm sure it wasn't that much"

"If you don't remember practically getting raped then I'd say it was a lot"

"Raped? What the fuck?" I gasped, trying my best to remember what happened that night. An image of someone lay on top of me flashed into my mind but it soon vanished. "What the hell happened?"

"Walked in on you and Luke didn't I? But you didn't seem as keen as he did so I smacked him one" Michael said, casually. I couldn't quite grasp what he was saying... My hands were shaking. He had saved me?

"I don't remember..."

"I reckon that fucker drugged you or something"

"Oh god. Oh god. Oh god" I put my head into my hands and started to rock back and forth, finally able to remember that night. Luke had forced himself on to me and my drink had tasted funny... What if Michael hadn't been there? Oh God, I felt sick. Without even warning him I pushed the car door open and threw up, my stomach churning at the thought of what had happened. Michael slammed to a halt.

"What the fuck? Did you just throw up in my car?" he asked, clearly not concerned about my well being.

"No" I wiped my mouth and grabbed my bottle of water out of my bag. "I threw up out the door. Calm down"

"Okay, I probably sounded like a dick then. You okay?" his hand found its way onto my thigh and I flinched at his touch. Why was I even in a car with this guy? I had to get away from him. I had to get away from everyone and clear my head.

"Fuck off" I snapped, pushing his hand away and climbing out the car.

"Hey what did I do?" he called after me but I chose to ignore him, heading towards the diner across the road.

"Fucking bitch" Michael hissed at me as he drove away. It wasn't until his car was out of sight that I realised I had left my bag behind. Fuck. That meant I couldn't skip college today and I would have to find Michael again.
